Some blatant errors, but not enough to make it unreadable.
I'm glad you've started explaining things, and I do feel this issue helped a lot, but I still think things are unclear. Like your explanation of the zones above could really have been used in the series itself. I don't understand some of their powers, especially Buddy's, or how all of this is kept quiet.
I'm in the same boat that this seems way too major to not be common knowledge. And it's apparently been going on for years. So I'm not sure how well this all fits into the universe continuity.
Keep em coming.

I do have to echo the point being raised about continuity, but I figure there's still plenty of time for you to figure out some way to make that work. It helps that you haven't set a specific time frame in stone just yet (unless you did and I just missed that while reading), so you do have some room to maneuver in that regard.
The explanations provided in this issue were much appreciated. It didn't answer all of my questions, but it was definitely a step in the right direction.

I am glad this seems to be addressing some concerns - sorry about the blatant errors. As I've said before, my schedule is taking it's toll, so writing some of this on a cramped train when some fat sweaty guy won't let me use my arms was slightly irritating. I'll go back through and see if I can Iron out the creases.
Well, funnily enough, the next issue is where I start to go into the powers a wee bit more; the fall out of the Elemental War has changed everyone's abilities, pretty much all for the worse.
I understand your questions about continuity, as I said before, this was something I did discuss in length with the admins before we started the series, so perhaps I can work with Wachter and Bob to try and make a way to fix it in place.
Questions will be answered, this was my attempt to basically leave a lot of mystery. However, i think as Star said before - I've made it more frustrating in the mystery front than intriguing.

Quiet out there - Okay, so issue #4 of Primal Forces is now up and ready for perusal. Again, I've tried to up the amount of exposition to explain certain things, like the ways powers work etc.
Basically, I messed up when I was writing the first storyline, as you're all aware and have been telling me. I made it too much like a novel, ignoring that this is a monthly, episodic series. So, it shouldn't be structured like that, it should be, well, structured like a comic. Apologies to all if I was pig headed about all this - I'll work my way through trying to make this a logical series, but at any rate - Issue 4 is up and should HOPEFULLY answer some more questions. As ever, if it doesn't, please let me know and I'll fix it.,
Also, three new additions to the Secret Files, with the introduction of Blood Orchid, and the Pierce Siblings.

Not a bad issue. Still finding things a bit confusing, but it's not so bad. My biggest critique other than that is that your fight scenes were a bit confusing. Granted its a comic cliche to have people give long speeches in the second it takes them to kick someone, but some of the dialogue during the fight didn't seem to flow right. And some, but not all, of the action was hard to follow.
Overall it's not bad. I just can't help but feel like this series shouldn't be a part of the greater world. It feels like it should be its own thing. But I am interested to see where this goes. Keep em coming.

Actually, you know, Star, you might be on to something there.
The sort of "continuity" fudge doesn't quite work does it? I mean, this is "my" series, and I'd like to try and work it into the world of UDC, but, given the scale and the fact that there are other heroes out there...why hasn't any of this been noticed?
(Obviously, criticising yourself doesn't exactly instill confidence in other writers, but, yeah...)
Perhaps, I dunno, I'm just "thinking out loud" maybe it would make sense/make life easier for everyone if Primal Forces were considered to be an Earth-PF? I dunno, Earth-2, where the nature heroes live. That way, Swamp Thing, Animal Man and others could appear/star in their own/other titles.
As I said...thinking out loud, but, yeah.

I think it works fine. There's an area that might fit primal or fire in Star City. I'd love to work with you. I guess it's just hasn't come up.
