Alright have a couple of admin notes to add before the end of the month.
Topic will be closing first thing April 1st so be sure to get your claims in for this month.
Two, Adrini withdrew her claims for Hawkman and Hawkgirl and is dealing with their roles through other means.
Ryan and Marlowe we are going to go ahead and give you guys April and May to get your first issue in and hopefully that'll give you both a chance to get ahead in your writing.

I can't speak for the admins, but the Legion are way too big to be wallpaper. And way to big to be support. The Legion could have their own title, and for you to introduce and define them simply for Booster's origin, would really hamper any future writer's attempt to have their own take in the future.

Yep that's where I stand on it. We'd even have to have a conversation about how many of the characters you'd need to individually claim to be able to the Legion as a whole. If you were planning a spin off title, it really wouldn't be a problem, but with them only being involved in your origin, there are some clear problems. Like taking such a large franchise off the table for another writer.
Since they will be in the future, is there any way you could just use a generic super team? And be vague as to when it happens?
Otherwise that appears to be the only problem, other than the format, but you can fix that easily. Check out how other people claimed titles and reorganize into that. It just makes it easier so we can copy and paste into the Master Claims Thread.
The only other thing is as a title that deals with the future, you have to be somewhat careful with making sweeping claims and assertions about what goes on in the UDCU, just because a lot of people are still telling their stories and the future is undefined.

They're not really that defined in the plot I'm planning. Except for Arm-Fall-Off Boy, who I doubt would be used anyway (which is why I specifically gave him the most personality). Also Rip Hunter, who I made their administrator (a role that's mostly undefined and doesn't really have to translate to leader).
I could probably make up some bs about alternate futures and timelines (which actually does have some impact on the overplot I'm tentatively planning) if that would help; the LSH someone else might write would probably just be from a different alternate future than this one, an idea that actually does have basis in established Legion lore from the comics.

In that case, why don't you just claim a few of the smaller members (such as Arm-Fall-Off-Boy) and not even refer to them as the Legion? That seems like it could be a decent compromise.

I have issue one written already (I didn't want to even make a claim until I knew if I'd be able to write the story I had in my head). Why don't I PM it to you, or another admin because I don't know how the power structure here works, and you can see how the Legion's been used?
I'm iffy on not using them at all, as... without spoiling too much, the idea that Booster is working for this huge legion of heroes plays into his origin, and the Legion Flight Ring is a big part of his arsenal.
But a large part of the series is dealing with changes to the timeline anyway, so like I said, the LSH I'm using could just be from a different future timeline than the LSH someone else is.

If you want to use the Green Lantern Corps in any way for the origin (His ring, the team), that's a possibility as well.

If you could send me important sections and you don't mind me showing it/discussing it with the admins, that would probably be ideal. Either way, you wouldn't be able to claim the Legion as a blanket claim, since it's a team of hundreds of members. I still believe there are definite ways around using the actual Legion, but I'll withhold judgement until we can actually see an issue.

The Legion being so large is exactly why I used them. I explain more in the PM I just sent though.
I do feel like the excerpts I sent may lose something without the context of the entire thing, though, so if you want to peruse the entire thing let me know.

Both claims are approved Bob. And you need to have a minimum of 4 of this month's issues or seven if they aren't new this month.
Quick Side note: Thread will be closing up in a little over an hour so be sure to get those claims in.

With the new reclaim rule that only counts as one claim. So you have another two reclaims or a full claim.
Those are approved of course.
