I've been working on this idea for a little while now, and after reading Wachter's 'Haven the missing pieces fell into place. It's a teen team story, and would be bright, open, and sometimes cosmic; a stark contrast to 'Haven. I'm still working on a title, and the claims list, but if anyone is interested in co-writing and co-planning an optimistic (thematically fairly similar to the modern Young Avengers, Wolfman-Perez Titans, and Bendis' original Ultimate Spider-Man) teen team story featuring DC's Finest (not the title obviously lol) then pm me.
By the way, the only two characters I currently have made plans for and are definitely on the team are Redbird (Tim Drake) and Superboy (Conner Kent...well, not Connor Kent, but the same character).

I resent the implications that 'Haven is not bright. It has all the makings of a Harem story with a non-psycho ending. Just look at my claims and take an educated guess on the current generation of heroes. I only have one guy and the rest are girls. Jason even starts as a shota.

Was that a joke? If not, I meant no offense, but c'mon, your main character dies in the first issue! It's not like there isn't happiness or brightness, it's just surrounded by darkness. And lots of it. Any story taking place in Bludhaven isn't a "bright" story. It just can't happen in that city. Or Gotham, really, for that matter. That's not to say there aren't happy endings, just not bright stories.

A satirical take on my story. Ultimately though it starts/ends in tragedy, the story itself is that of high schoolers with super problems and I somehow managed to make the team I'm building for the current generation all girls... again... I really need to find someone who is able to understand Jason before crap hits the fan.
As for Redbird/Tim Drake... You'd have to request Buck's permission and he's going to start his claims off getting the big ones of the mythos that he missed. Means he's going to take both Tim/Red Robin and Damian/Redbird. So I'm not sure where he stands on letting them be open to someone else.

I had the makings of a Team Titans lineup going in my head, but it required that I made significant progress with Ultimate Wonder Woman before I could do it, and realized that most of the characters I would want to use would be claimed before I could possibly write it.
Didn't help that most of the normal Titans got claimed as villains for Infinity Inc (still trying to figure that one out).

(thematically fairly similar to the modern Young Avengers, Wolfman-Perez Titans, and Bendis' original Ultimate Spider-Man) Hope this happens, we're missing a teen team and most of the titles aren't all that upbeat. I'd offer my help, but GLC is kicking my butt currently.

Just wait until the first arc of pitting a teenage boy against White Rabbit with his lesbian red headed mentor at his side.

I figured I would have to ask buck, but I was hoping he'd be fine with it. Y'know, I was kind of hoping we could spread the Robin love around. Especially since Tim is by far my favorite Robin, and actually my favorite DC character. I want to write him so effing much! I'll talk to buck, and well... whatever happens happens.

Also, Static isn't claimed. Gopher it if you need another teen.

Static is up there in my choices with Blue Beetle, Fairchild, Cassie Sandsmark, Bart Allen, and Artemis among others. And yes, I know I'm going to need to talk to the authors who have claimed characters associated with those mentioned.

Also Wachter, Kate's always been a dark character. That didn't help your case.

Had to stop reading this topic after a big spoiler for Ultimate Haven. Not cool.

Had to stop reading this topic after a big spoiler for Ultimate Haven. Not cool. Agreed, that was a major spoiler. Also, Drake. I will help write this title with you if you help write Suicide Squad with me.

Don't have the time. I'm not looking for someone to help think up the series. I can do that on my own if I have to. I need someone, no strings attached, helping me write this.

In his defense, the solicits for Issue 1 were pretty obvious but I'll take the blame cause I was busy at the time and not thinking to chide him.

Well I'll point out I don't read solicits either. I'm going to read everything that gets posted. There's no need to solicit anything to me, except possibly spoiling something.

I feel you, Star. It was a big nono but I'll tell you that it ends ambiguously so he may not have spoiled anything as I leave it open nor have I added it to the continuity board after two issues and I'm the king of continuity. If it was a week later, I'd be defending the posts as it'd be no one's faulty but your own if it hasn't be read. But that was only a day later so it's on our end.

Definitely talk to Buck but one thing to remember is that buck could be starting Batman at the beginning of his career so there may not be multiple Robins to be had. IF he starts with Dick as the first Robin in the 8-10 year old range there will have been no time for Jason, Tim Damien etc. to have had the Robin mantle, so while you may get a Tim or Damien it may be one with no connection to the Bat-Mythos ( I have talked with buck a bit about what his plans are for the intro of Robin and it has changed a bit since he first took the title so I again caution talk with him before you get too far into your planning).
Personally I think the biggest problem with the new52 currently is that they tried to cram 70+ years of characters and continuity into a 5 year window so they could please everybody with their favorites (or as many of those favorites as Didio and Johns liked). There's no guarantee that buck (or any of us) will even have a five year window to fit things into , so that should be factored into your thinking when framing expectations for things to write. A shared sandbox makes for an interesting reading experience, but it is also a double edged sword because creatively you have to live with the decisions made by others.
I definitely understand the excitement and desire to write your favorites, but for sidekicks and legacies you really need to talk to the claim holders and get things approved before you start making plans to use those characters. Putting the cart before the horse might lead to disappointment and nothing kills a series faster than when it becomes something other than what got the writer excited about it to begin with.
You will also need to talk to Mezzaro about Connor Kent as he is part of the Superman mythos, if you haven't already.
I think an(other-just to placate wachter) upbeat teen series could be a lot of fun for the site, but using sidekicks/legacies characters of others is always an iffy proposition at best (I remember the hoops wachter and I had to jump through when were were setting up the aborted Young Justice title we co-wrote in the last iteration of the site, and I was the Batman writer at the time).
