I actually like this as a 1st issue. It makes me wanna see a Law and Order series with Dick and Tim and all. But I can understand if they become superheroes later. But I loved the story.

Thanks, maybe I can crossover Law & Order:SVU...I'm pretty sure Dick would like him some Detective Benson haha.
The majority of this arc is them being cops, then becoming what we all know and love. I'm still debating, but the cop angle may come back later on down the line.

Really good start. I'm also intrigued by the decision to make them both cops first. It'll be interesting to see how they make to leap to going full on vigilante, especially since Tim at least is stated to not be that physically fit.

There was a lot of telling and not much showing at the beginning of the issue but things picked up after the first few paragraphs. Nicely done.

Thanks everyone...I always seem to have a hard time starting out a series of what I should set up and what I shouldn't. The Tim out of shape thing will come into play, so it was intentional.
I've gotten almost 3 issues of Zatanna written, I'm hoping this week to get 3 issues of Detective written so I can be ahead of the game.

Good first issue, totally in agreement about some sort of Law & Order series with Dick and Tim. Quite liked how you've already set up the team dynamic between them.

Has me curious about both Red Hood and Dr Quinzel. Like how the story is developing. Though you has plenty of story to go, Tim and Dick's relationship is growing convincingly. Keep it up.

Was good. I feel like I have been saying this a lot, but proofread. A lot of mistakes. I know its only the second issue but I dont feel like I know Dick and Tim yet.

My thoughts:
1. Good story. Some of the dialogue does come off a little hokey though.
2. Take it easy on the ellipses.
3. I'd like to see more of Dick and Tim without the costumes. Somehow I think they'd be better off without them.

There will be backstories on both Tim and Dick a one off for both of them after the first arc, or something along those lines.
My plan is have them in costume as much as out of it. Kinda like what I use to do in my Batman. they can't always run around in costumes. The person underneath is just as important.
