Also known as the Lawrence and Dinah Lance Sherwood Outreach Center, the building was completed in early 2011, but remained mostly unused for the next two years as staff was looked for. In early 2013 the parent company, Queen Industries, were able to find the staff they needed.
Mrs. Olivia Helen and Mrs. Dinah Queen make up the core of the team, and wasted no time filling in the rest of the staff.
The area is a complex that offers training on skills, cultures and responses for a variety of emergencies. The area resembles a campus, and the Outreach is active in over 30 countries and works with a number of national and international organizations.
Of note to the visitor is the Statuary in the central gardens. When Robert Queen, the originator of the idea, designed the project he purchased a number of notable works of art. They are symbols of hope, life and rebirth to remind those working there of the importance of the work they do.
The Garden is open to the public and classes of all sorts are offered to the public free of charge. These include first aide, emergency response, recognizing and reporting abuse and others. Rooms are available for rent for organizations and persons who seek to add to the common good.
