Wasn't bad. Thawyne's takedown in the flashback seemed a bit too easy. Kind of anticlimactic. But I like where you're going with Max. Keep 'em coming.

I am digging the way you're getting a lot of characters in so quickly. Very Silver Age, Very Morrison. Definitely dug this issue a lot.

Since I'm now too tired to finish Spoilers up tonight like I intended, I read Issue 2 and I enjoyed it. I think the time jumps and spiritual side are both great ways to take on the Flash. Makes for an interesting change in dynamic.
Might be the exhaustion speaking but it could be neat (given the spiritual angle) in the long run if you worked with Jackalope towards tying Hermes to the Flash Family in some form.

I can say it had crossed my mind... Really liked it, but in my head I keep thinking "Lost, lost, lost." Not that thats a bad thing. I loved lost.

Thanks for the reviews everyone. At the end of the next issue, they'll get off the Island and I promise we won't have a big "WE HAVE TO GO BACK!" moment.

Actually, I'm a decent way into Issue 3 and I think I might have to make this story a 4-part story. I just have too much I want to say.

I really liked it. I can just sense something epic about to go down involving Barry and Max. I like the way you write Barry, he's not boring at all. The spiritual angle is real interesting and I'm anticipating the next issue.

I really enjoy the new Barry Allen. The whole FBI aspect of him and all. So far its been a great read man. I have enjoyed it. Plus I can't wait til we see Max interact with Barry in #3 . To see how he's portrayed.

In a surprising turn of events, I finished Issue 3 really quickly, so I put it up. All of you have been talking about being interested in Barry and Max, I hope I didn't disappoint.

Fucking great. The entire spiritual 'speed force' is really being pulled off (something, I admit, I had my doubts about). It's getting better and better. Great work.

It's not spiritual. It's just science you can't wrap your head around.

Well, that's what you get when you have an atheist try to write spiritualism. To be fair, that's what I consider religion in the first place. People have a need for answers (like Barry), so they collectively create something to create answers.

I'm definitely seeing more Lost influence, intended or not. I half expected to read...
Max - “Why do you find it so hard to believe?”
Barry - "Why do you find it so easy?"
Was good though. Seems silly that Barry would so quickly just starting running up a wall because some bearded man on a deserted island told him to, but I guess that's his destiny or some such. Really well done. Keep 'em coming.

When I was writing this at three in the morning, I almost wrote that exchange. haha.
But I promise that there is a purpose. And in the end it will make sense that he listens to Max Mercury so much.

I had to admit I enjoyed the brief training spot with Barry and Max. I hope Iris isn't dead. Always liked her.

Okay. So Issue 4 is up and the final issue of the opening arc. It's a lot longer than it needed to be (no, I needed it to be this long), so I'm sorry about that. The worst part is that I still feel like I rushed parts. It easily could have been two issues, but there was no natural break. Well, now that the origin is over, it's full speed ahead. Next couple issues should be up quickly and after that I'll have a big announcement (That several of you are in on).

First Lost now Star Wars. You like making references as much as me.
I found the whole Barry accepting the speedforce and fighting Zoom a bit difficult to follow but as of right now, I think it might have more to do with me not having enough sleep than your writing. I'm looking forward to your next arc.
