I remember a while ago that someone said that the Justice League and Teen Titans wouldn't team up until the Trinity had been brought into continuity. Is that still the case or is there another reason we are waiting? I have an idea for the League forming and I'm excited to tell everyone about it but I was told to wait until I get my Catman book into continuity and then I get the password to the appropriate thread. I'm just enjoying the Ultimate DC Universe very much right now and I'm excited to toss around a few ideas and crossover events and the like.

There's a thread on JL and everyone's ideas on how we should handle it in the Hall of Justice subboard.
Admittedly, the biggest delay on JL getting ready is on me. A few more chapters and Superman is in continuity, and I'd like to get a little farther on WW but that's less of an issue.
My goals with JL are to coordinate it so that a) everyone who wants to can contribute, and b) not to be set up to be completely screwed over by claims limits, dropped titles, etc.

Do I get access to the hall of justice once I'm in continuity?

I guess I have to fast-track Ultimate Flash and get it into continuity. Also, is Green Lantern in continuity? If not, I'd love to make that my second title.

Ultimate Green Lantern Corps is in continuity, though the title is currently inactive and available to claim.

So if im looking at this right we need two more issue from Superman to get him into continuity. After this occurs, we will then have Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Green Arrow, and Black Canary ready for a Justice League. Catman is in the same boat as Superman with needing two more issues for continuity but im not really banking on the character being a deal breaker for the JL. Flash is obviously a no go. Does this seem about right?

Flash is a no go unless someone claims him and really cranks out chapters, but then again it's kind of appropriate for Flash to show up late.

I wasn't even thinking about some of the extra characters in the books. Red Arrow, Nightwing, Batgirl, Batwoman, Aresenal, Ambush-Bug, Beast Boy, even Great Machine and John Constantine

Teen Titans Earth One has proven we don't need a Justice League to form the Titans.
So Teen Titans problem solved. Maybe?

My thing with Teen Titans and more so Young Justice (and you wouldn't be the first person to disagree with me on this) is that I think we should at least give Justice League a chance to develop first. Because even it doesn't need Dick Grayson, Roy Harper, Wonder Girl, etc., I think they should at least have a chance to develop in their original tittles first. But we're a lot closer now than the last time TT was brought up. Also, I'm playing with some ideas for group-run titles. Not just co-written, but open so that a lot of people can contribute. Justice League will probably be the first experiment in that kind of format, and if it works, I hope to do similar things with ideas like TT and YJ.

Teen Titans could theoretically be legacy-less, but I grew up on Johns' Titans so I'll admit it wouldn't be the same to me.

I'll just say that have a bunch of teens that could use some experience.

Based on our Ultimate DC Universe I wouldn't expect a "Legacy" based Titans team.
Nightwing isn't a teen, Red Arrow isn't a teen. Redbird could possibly be the leader but he wouldn't really be a Batman Legacy. If I have understood correctly he is more of a Nightwing Legacy.
I would rather the Justice League created first but it's not a make it or break it moment for me.
As long as Stephanie Brown is somehow involved, I'm happy. Maybe Arrowette too

Tim will more likely than not join (as an Outsider/Nightwing legacy mix). Steph....I don't know. You've yet to see what Steph's like nowadays, let alone what she will be like by the end of Knights.

Perhaps I'm sticking my nose somewhere I've not yet earned the right to - but perhaps this Justice League series you're talking about could serve for now as the Flash's "home" series (much like it did for Martian Manhunter in the previous DC universe, and Cyborg for the DCnU). Being new to the game, he could easily serve as the series' POV character, and the reader surrogate, and I could see a scenario where he discovers something that would require a multitude of heroes to come together and dash across the country to recruit the likes of Superman, Batman, GA, etc to defeat it. Considering the depth of talent you guys have, it seems to me like you could tell Flash tales, and get him into continuity, without stepping on someone's toes should they be inclined to take a stab at a Flash ongoing down the line. Could even encourage someone to take up the reigns if they see something you guys have done and choose to build up from there.

"My original plan for a second title was Titans Academy, an Ultimization of Teen Titans. The general idea was a "Hogwarts for Heroes." The school's headmaster would be Ted Kord. There would be accomplished heroes for the faculty, and a lot of the initial conflict would be from rival students. My "main" characters included a modern version of Terry McGinnis, Mary Marvel, Static, and Blue Beetle III. Other characters I was thinking of using for "rival" Titans included Ray Palmer's generation of Titans and the Super Young Team. There would have also been plenty of room for "students" from other titles, and could have eventually led to there being multiple Teen Titans for multiple writers. Unfortunately my main character was going to be Terry McGinnis, and while I'd been working with Wachter when he had Batman, his disappearance put a damper on those plans. Maybe as a group title we can do something like this later."
DoB you wrote this years ago. WHY IN THE HELL IS THIS NOT A REALITY? I would read the shit out of this.

I'd love to read it too! ericthepilotYou're fine in providing your insight into a situation. We're not the type to yell at you and throw rocks because you have an opinion LOL. However, even if Dob, adrini and I were to agree to that (I'd say only if we could get a certain person who may be planning a Flash series on board), it would be tough to add now as Dob is well into at least the first issue. Honestly, I like your idea a lot; I just don't know if it can become a reality, at least not in arc 1.

We need more writers. Part of the problem is we're carrying so much as is. As much as we love the site there are only so many hours in the day.
