I found him, it's amazing! No idea who he is, but he even looks like him.

That would be Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy. Definitely a show worth watching in my opinion. I don't think there would be too many people complaining if he got cast as movieverse Ollie.

From what I can tell its a show with literally no canon, so they will be free to just do what they want.
Flash is winning by s good number in the ratings now, and even many arrow fans are getting impatient for that show to start moving to the canon there as well. Used to be Olicity ruled the day, now as many fans want her gone as to stay. It's odd to see but this far into the game more people want Green Arrow. Okay.
So now new show. Somewhat random characters, little canon to be seen. To me that means they want more freedom, room to move. So long as it's presented as such, unlike the two prior shows, that's fine.

From the little we know it seems like the easiest explanation is that it's a Brave and the Bold show. Which I am for 100%.

I did! It looks incredible!
In other news, Stephen Amell's going to be playing Casey Jones in TMNT 2. As much as Megan Fox and the movie in general sucked, I thought the first was a lot of fun. Pure summer blockbuster bliss and a hell of a lot better than Transformers. While I'm not exactly excited for the second movie, I'll definitely be seeing it in theaters.

Nothing against the guy but he is a three note actor from Arrow alone. A Michael Bay film might actually be a good fit. Or he could surprise me, which would be welcome. But so far I've seen gloomy, happy and moody. Not great range.

To be fair, he'll be paired on screen with Megan Fox as the main human characters. Even the limited range he's displayed on Arrow is more than she can boast.

I seriously don't understand the appeal of these films. You can kill brain cells just as easily, and far more cheaply, by staying at home and banging your head against the wall for fifteen minutes.

I'd say the appeal lies in the characters and not necessarily the movie itself. TMNT has built up quite a bit of goodwill over the years. The run of cartoons starting from 2003 to the current Nickelodeon series have generally ranged from solid to outstanding. And the IDW comic run has mostly been stellar since it launched.
Perhaps more importantly, there's the nostalgia factor to take into consideration. Never underestimate the power of nostalgia. People can sometimes be blinded by it no matter what the quality of the work is.

Oh, I love me some TMNT. Do not doubt that. It killed me when I wasn't allowed to dress up Leonardo (Mom had me be a princess, again.) but this is a Michael Bay film. I haven't seen two seconds of it and I can already tell you it's not worth the cellophane it's printed on.

It's produced, not directed by Bay. Also it's just entertainment. Big action scenes and jokes are worth a ticket.

And if we're being honest here, it's not like the original live action trilogy was high quality filmmaking either. The reboot certainly can't hold a candle to the first one, but I'd say it's no worse than 2 or (especially) 3.

So, not saying everything is perfect, but in the new trailer Laurel is ACTUALLY kicking assassin ass. Not small fries either. It's not perfection but it's a far cry from parked car fu.
