I'm fairly sure Armond Krol would represent the 'Right'
"Just because you wear a cape doesn't mean you are exempt from the Laws. Registration for Capes!"
"No They Can't. 2016"

If I had a pick, out of anyone, I'd want Luthor to run.
Comes out as a dark horse, third party candidate (because Luthor doesn't join parties, he founds them) who shows up just when things seem to have settled down to two candidates - and Luthor finds them both lacking.

Oh, if Luthor ran, he'd almost assuredly win short of being caught and imprisoned by the Justice League, and possibly even then. Luthor would pull shenanigans that would make real-life politics seem legitimate by comparison.

Easy for me to say, since he's not my character, but I don't see the downside to him winning, in universe or out. Hell, I'd vote for him in the real world, given the chance, but perhaps that says more about me than anything.

So Drake needs to make little segments now called 'Ryder Nation'. He brakes down the going on's with the political landscape going towards 2016.

I think hundred may win if he ran. Lots of support for a guy that single handedly saved a city from invasion

Not so much single handedly, since Superman helped.
Personally, I'd prefer no Luthor 4 Prez. It's been done before.

I'm sorry. I did actually mean President, I don't know why I said Mayor.

President O'Neil is just about done with her historic run as the first female President. Are we ready to start having nominees enter the race for President? My suggestion is everyone puts a name in who is running for president. From that point forward we have polls made to vote for the nominees. We would gradually vote for the Republican and Democratic nominees (and third party nominee) eventually leading to the Election itself. Make a game out of it. Thoughts?

This is just me, but personally I think we should wait until after this year's actual election to do any changes in-universe. This year is particularly polarizing (then again aren't they all) and I'd rather not bring the ugliness of real-world politics onto the site.
After all, if we want to argue about polarizing tactics we can always bring up time travel again!

It's a fictional character being president of a nation in a fictional universe. No one needs to bring their actual political beliefs into it.

To be fair, Dob is right. Time travel is a non-issue that inspired so much anger, so politics, even fake politics, could be a problem.
