I'm kind of thinking about making a claim. Are there any titles the site absolutely needs?

So Superman, Aquaman and GL are open (if you want a big one) but it's most important that you write something that works for you. There's some history build but if you have any questions we can fill you in. Glad to have you.

Fortunately, there's nothing the site absolutely needs. There's lots of available titles though.
Feel free to ask here or PM the admin(s) for any questions about available claims or continuity. The MCL and Continuity sections have most of the information, though aren't 100% up to date.

DiscipleofBob adrini I would absolutely love to try again at GL, but I'm scared that Question and I may end up butting heads a lot. I'm not really knowledgeable on any other DC property other than GL and Batman. When it comes to those two, I know all there is to know, but I don't know s*** about Aquaman, Flash, Superman, etc.

Batman is finishing up fairly soon and we could use a new writer to take over when that happens. It's not immediate, but you could take bats. He does come with a substantial history but as usual we'd be more then happy you take you through it.

Well, if you want to try GL it's not like there isn't room for multiple titles on the Lantern end of the spectrum. You'd probably have to work with Question, and at the moment Question gets final say on any characters or elements in his title. Batman's currently in the Knights title with Drake and Adrini.
Also, it can be fun and challenging to write a character or title knowing very little about the source material going in. But that's completely up to you.

I can agree with that, as that has been working out fairly well with IIM over at All-Star. However, I did that with Flash, and I ended up getting the tone completely wrong. If you could talk to Question for me, that'd be great. Writing Batman after Knights is done with him would also be fun, as long as Adrini and Drake form a good jumping-on point for me when that happens. I'm still a little unsure about everything, though... I'll just see how everything falls into place.

Already being set up. Drake is working on some awesome bat-action and I'm focusing a little more on safety nets, world expanding and future options. It does mean doing a little homework to learn the background but it all fun. And we're here to help.

Can you PM me a reading list of everything pertaining to the Ultimate version of Batman? I figure it's best to get my homework started. EDIT: Actually, scratch that. It seems everything I need is in the Knights thread.

Okay, to be fair, I've got a lot more going on than just bat-action....but yeah, there's a lot of that. Definitely check out of the Knights thread. Start with 'Haven, don't bother with Batman vol. 1 unless you're really curious, and then jump to Knights. If you want to know about the GL Corps, you should probably just contact Question yourself, bud. Not trying to be rude, but this is one of those things it's best to do yourself.
EDIT: Batman vol. 1 has a twist in it that leads into Knights but isn't all that important. Batman vol. 1 isn't required reading, although it would help with the overall experience.

*Can I put some or all of my support into the Wallpaper category or do I still need to claim them as support?

You're currently 1 over the claim limit, which is why I assume you asked about certain characters as Wallpaper.
I'll have to look more in-depth at the characters to see who can qualify as Wallpaper or not. If you have specific characters you think could / should be Wallpaper, let us know and that can make this go faster.

Specifically, I was thinking these would be wallpaper due to their connections to Hub City and the Catman title/character:
Amina Franklin, Commissioner Kristen Kramer, Armand Krol, and Sensei.

I don't think Sensei can be counted as Wallpaper as long as it's 'the' Sensei character and not just a guy who goes by Sensei. The other three can be Wallpaper though.

Just F.Y.I. Cross is my new favorite person for finding a way to work Bug-Eyed Bandit into his series.
That is all. Please resume the important conversations.
