This board is still active. Right now we're undergoing some renovations, but the titles are still going and there's plenty to read or, if you're interested, write.

Most of the titles in the Inactive section are up for grabs, though they have some plot already established.

If you're looking at a new title, a few come to mind. Flash and Martian Manhunter are two big ones we don't have yet.

Hey, I decided to get an account. Hopefully I'll have an idea what to claim tonight:)I used to write on here YEARS ago, back when Miller and Wachter were running this place. I think it's been like 4 years?

LOL. I hear you. Before I joined this place I hadn't written anything non-acedemic in ages. And it showed. ><

But that's fine, it's not about being a master, it's about being willing to improve while writing some great stories.

I'll see about writing a list out, major people and if their claimed. Might it easier for new people coming in.

Superman is my favorite, but I was thinking maybe starting with something smaller scale? I always wanted to do a villains title. or maybe a Detective comics without superheroes?

I think either of those could potentially be great additions to the site.

Maybe even something like Suicide Squad.

My favorite member of the Squad was always Captain Boomerang, if you're looking for suggestions.

I am looking for suggestions. I think it'd be a lot of fun, especially if you guys want to see characters that are already in continuity but I don't know about that'd be a good fit, let me know!

If you're looking for characters that are rooted in continuity, but could easily fit in a team like that, maybe some of the characters being held by ARGUS could form the core of the team? You'd have to bring in a few others as well, but it would be true to the original series concept while being able to bring in a fresh spin.

And since Waller is tied up in ARGUS, perhaps this could be a way to return Director Bones into the mix as the overseer of the group?

Just some possibilities rooted in existing continuity for you to build on.

From the Catman series at least, ARGUS has Icicle (Cameron Mahkent) and Josiah Power.

ARGUS is available for everyone to use, the best way to get a handle on who they are and how they operate, I'd say, would be to read through the Ultimate Superman series, as ARGUS features pretty prominently there. That should give you a pretty solid explanation of how they work.

To my knowledge, the list of villains they have are: Icicle (as mentioned above), Mammoth, Shimmer, Jinx, Psimon, Metallo, and Bizarro. (King Orm of Atlantis was also taken into ARGUS possession at the end of the Ultimate Aquaman series, but he hasn't shown up on the list of ARGUS held characters since, so I'm not sure about his status as I've only gotten through three series in the continuity project, others might have a better idea of that. edited, given the consensus with the consensus that he's no longer in ARGUS custody)

So I think I've found a good series to work on. It isn't quite Suicide Squad, but it should still give me a good villain's niche to fill. I can only find an outdated claims thread from May? Where do I post a title claim?

I don't think anyone will have an issue if you post it there, rather than forcing Disciple of Bob to make a new one.
