Just so we can help each other.
So I guess I'll start.
JSA, should have seen this coming. I'm writing a scene with a nazi, really evil dude, while I have the information and details worked out getting into the mindset has been stubborn. Thoughts?

Depends. Is he meant to be Evil Incarnate or a fully realized character? Really, you can't go wrong either way. Pure bad guys are fun, as are deeply complex characters. Anyway, the guy sounds like Evil Incarnate, so I have to wonder: what's the trouble? His dialogue? Which part specifically? "Mindset" is a fairly vague term.

I can't get the "feel" right. I'm on my third re-write. It's his first solo scene so I'm really hoping to use it well. There's not much dialogue.
Ideally I wouldn't mind showing him as a soul twisted into darkness by the war and the Third Reich. But pure evil is okay to, he is SS. The scene is he's figuring out the beginning of our heroes team, but it's more coming off as CSI. Part of it, but missing the evil part.

This is difficult without knowing the details, but I'd recommend evaluating his motivations for why he's hunting the team. Even if it's as simple as "this is war; they're the enemy" make the focus about his motivations, his feelings, and the rest should come together.
