I have to reluctantly relinquish my claim on Bat Lash. I think I was too quick in choosing an unclaimed character, and the inspiration simply isn't there. Sorry about this. I know this isn't the best way to make an impression on the boards.

I know Azrael (Jean Paul Valley) is claimed as a supporting character, but can I do an ongoing series? You're going to have to talk to Ryan about that one. Since he claimed the character, he has complete and total reign over the character.

I know this isn't the best way to make an impression on the boards. Seriously no biggy man. Working out ideas of what you want to do with characters before claiming them is a good plan, but even then it doesn't always work out. -If you ever want to a couple of Bat Lash eps set in me and Bucks Jonah Hex's title I'm sure we could work something out further down the line. Otherwise good luck with your next choice.

Also on the note of working out ideas before claiming the title most everyone on the site will help you out with straightening out ideas if you send us a pm.

As someone privy to his plans, I don't know about his willingness to give up Az claims but you'd have to talk it over with him.
I can suggest a Vigilante as a replacement or possibly Kate Spencer as Headhunter (instead of Man Hunter). Or you could be unique. I'm pretty sure Anarky is free. Claim him and turn him into some sort of Anti-hero.

I've sent his a message and the suggestions, but I think an unstoppable enforcer for a powerful, secret society is too good of an opportunity to pass up. If not then no problem, I'll figure something else out.

I wanna add I-Ching as support for my Ultimate DCU Presents title as well. If Vigilante is free I would love to claim him as a villain for it as well.

Like I said before, You're going to have to claim them for your existing title and while I really can't enforce this, I'd really ask that you don't claim characters that you don't plan on using outside your mini series.

Well the idea is someone else can pick up Vigilante and use them after the mini-series introduction. Also its more than a mini-series. If we do a Ultimate DCU Presents , after I do say...1-2 or 1-4 issues of it , another writer can take a character no one is using like say....Richard Dragon and do a storyline with them. I'd like to see us do the Ultimate DCU Presents deal. Its why I suggested taking little non-claimed characters like Shadow , I-Ching , Vigilante and using them for stories. (plus my idea is to introduce the Shadow and people can possibly use him)

Nah. I can't approve that idea. I thought you were going to claim these characters and then write a mini series for that. The whole point of the claiming process is that so when person picks up a character, it is their's to establish and do what ever they want with.

Darn , I thought with people mentioning an Ultimate DCU Presents , this would be the best idea to do really. Have arcs introducing some characters in. I can always do the Mini-series idea , because i need that for later to fill in some ...plots I have in GA. But I had thought we were all discussing the Ultimate DCU Presents title.

If the mini-series idea works then I'm good guys. I'll go with it. I just wanna use I-Ching at least lol. I just need him in a support role there. But if everyone is cool with it , I wanna do this mini-series and all. Hopefully everyone is cool with it. (sorry for the mix up on Ultimate DCU Presents)
And to make it a mini-series....well...
Ultimate DCU Presents - The Shadow
Hero - The Shadow..
Support - I-Ching , Justice Society of America , Black Canary
tagline - "Who knows what evil lurks...."
(Me and C-Miller discussed the JSA Appearance and how its gonna go there)

That was more or less Jasonred11 trying to propose it. I have no problem with Ultimate DC Presents. I'd actually be interested in throwing a Guardians of Flashpoint mini and a Mr. Terrific mini in there at some point. It'd be really cool to give some of our more minor characters some spotlight at some point. So, I certainly wouldn't be opposed to having a regular mini series feature at some point soon.
But all characters used have to already be claimed and I would hope play some significant role in your main title(s). Like for I, Ching and Vigilante or Shadow, what if someone comes around and wants to do a title about them? But, they're all ready established and not being used. I feel like if I were new, I'd understand if they weren't available, but I wouldn't if they weren't being used and just waisting away in limbo, despite already being established.
One of the cool aspects of this site is that you get to do what you want with the characters you claim. Already establishing them for short-term use and then discarding them will eat through a lot of characters rather quickly. I don't want to do that, especially since we're nearing 30 titles and while there are still a ton of available characters, bigger names are growing less and less common.

I can see that reasoning and as I edited back , I'll do the mini-series idea i pm'd you earlier. I don't need Vigilante (thought he would make a cool personal rogue for Shadow to face in this but I understand man). In all lets do the idea I proposed and not the regular series concept .

The idea was I was gonna introduce him , bring him back in a way and let you bring him into JSA currently. Remember when I PM'd you that ? Also to tie in some plots coming in GA.

Right, but there's no way for me to put this in the Master Claims List. If you wanted to claim I-Ching and Shadow for one of your titles and then subsequently write the mini series, that will be more than acceptable.

Oh no. That's cool. I can understand that in a bulletin board set up, it can kind of be hard to iron out some of this stuff.
And Black Canary counts as a wallpaper, since you have the other Black Canary claimed and they were the same character pre-crisis.
