So I was thinking about this last night and wanted to get everyone's feedback. How are we handling all the groups and criminal organizations that exist in the DCU?
STAR Labs? Intergang? etc.

I had planned on using Intergang and STAR Labs in Superman. I'd imagine the easiest thing would be to just have different satellite locations through out the universe. You could have one person who is the "Leader" of Intergang and if someone wants to do something drastic like disband it, the writer would just have to run it by everyone else.
Also I mentioned this somewhere else, what about the President of the UDCU? Who would we want that to be. We could you use a old throwaway character or just make it Obama.

Yeah, that might work. Just have to make sure were not stepping on each other's toes when using a group.
As for the President, I have no idea. I think whichever works, I personally have no plans for a President.

So I was thinking about this last night and wanted to get everyone's feedback. How are we handling all the groups and criminal organizations that exist in the DCU? STAR Labs? Intergang? etc. Well for myself part of my long range plans for Creeper is getting into the media and the government, which is why I claimed Amanda Waller and Wade Eiling along with some well known reporters. Waller's going to have a science background and will have only recently gotten into the field work/administration side of things. Eiling is a classic militarist, and Max will be the political side of things. I am thinking though of going in a slightly more SHIELD like direction and perhaps have Cadmus (or something like it) be more directly under the control of Checkmate (or something like it).

See this is why I was semi-worried about it since I think someone down the line would be interested in doing a Checkmate title (I think it was you Toriach that mentioned being interested).

I would think that something like Checkmate which could be it's own individual title shouldn't be fully be explored by someone who doesn't have claim to it. Unless we all come up with a consensus of what that organization is and use it as a global entity for the community.

Yeah, I agree on Checkmate. S.T.A.R. Labs and other things like that shouldn't be claimed. They are relatively important to the Universe and used in countless titles in the real universe. However, the first person to use them (Ryan, it will probably be you) should run their idea for them by the group before using them.
Integang on the other hand, shouldn't they be claimed since they are the main villains of The New Gods (who no one has claimed). Correct me if I'm wrong. Superman mythology isn't my speciality. Someone explain them to me.
As for the President, I don't want it to be Obama. Nothing political, but I like the idea of a totally fictional universe. I always liked the idea of Alan Scott as President myself, but I think he's too popular to waste him on that. But I think an elder statesman Golden Age Hero would work for our purposes.

I don't have a whole lot planned for STAR Labs other then Professor Hamilton running tests and the such when needed.
Intergang was run by Morgan Edge who was working with Darkseid & Desaad by supplying them weapons. Eventually it was taken down by Clark but kept resurfacing over the years so it never really went away.
I was thinking for President maybe James Harper (Guardian).

I have no plans to use Alan Scott in UGL, and nobody's claimed him yet. Maybe pres?

Allow me to second Jim Harper. Especially because it would sidestep all the clone nonsense which I am so not a fan of.

Well if anyone wants to , they can introduce Intergang proper. I just basically refered to them and had a brief deal about them in Hawkman #1. I have Cobra and Hive claimed and will introduce them over time. Plus Kalibak of the New Gods claimed ...so thats one lol.

Perhaps those of us who have New Gods should communicate via PM to get some synergy going. Supercwfan1 has Kalibak, I have Glorious Godfrey, does anyone else have a New God?

I thought I better post what I have as part of my future plans in case it conflicts with others interests.
Corporations involved are: S.T.A.R. Labs, with Derrick Haverley as director of security. Zeus Corp with Maxie Zeus as CEO. Cale Incorporated with Veronica Cale as CEO. Kane Industries with Robert Kane (made up) as CEO. Helliburton (made up with obvious influences) with John Deleon as CEO.
Corporations I plan to mention (in passing): Queen Enterprises LexCorp Wayne Enterprises
Is this ok? Does Wayne Enterprises exist in our continuity- in the present day? I know the CEO of Queen Enterprises is Dinah Lance. I saw someone has Bette Kane, I don't know if this can be incorporated (Robert a rich uncle?). Is there other important corporations out there?- New Blue Beetle has one?
As far as the president of the Ultimate DC America, maybe the staff writers could nominate someone, and then everyone could vote...

I know Kefka intends for Ted to have a corporation or something.
And I just realized something... Given my current outline for Cluemaster, all the girls except Misfit have the potential to be rich or at least well off.

Jackalope's idea for Pres could work.
As far as corporations go, I have KnightCorp in Ultimate Starman, which is more of an industrial parallel to S.T.A.R. Labs. Where S.T.A.R. Labs would make sure The Flash is physically okay, KnightCorp would be the ones to develop a suit that doesn't burn up when traveling at Super Speeds. Ted Knight created it so he could finance his exploits as Starman.
There's also The Omega Initiative, but I'd rather not talk about what they do at this point in time.
You may want to talk to TKJ and Stardrifter personally about Wayne Enterprises and LexCorp though.
