So aside from the obvious Daily Planet, has anyone established any media outlets for our Ultimate DCU? I know Miller just had a JSA presser in the most recent issue, but I am not sure he identified any of the press outlets. I want to know so if I have Bruce Wayne or Lucius Fox hold a press conference, who will attend and ask questions...(and yes there is a presser planned for the first issue so I am asking for a reason) is there an Ultimate DCU version of CNN, Fox News, etc. Morgan Edge was a media TV news mogul at one point in DC continuity, but I don''t think Star used that form what I read in Ultimate Superman. Miller just claimed Alan Scott-his secret identity in the modern "Golden Age" stories was as a media mogul in Gotham-mostly radio-not sure if Miller plans on doing something similar with him now that he has him. One of my wallpapers-Vicki Vale-will work for a major newspaper in Gotham-has one been established anywhere yet? If not I plan on going with the Gotham Gazette. I plan on having a few media types be homages to famous Bat-creators-but I want to use media personalities of our DCU and networks of our DCU if they are already established. I think the Metropolis network that Edge owned in the DC continuity was WGBS, but its been years since I read Superman and I know longer have those comics. So anyone have anything already established? Anyone have something they want to establish for later use that I can set up? -M PS, yes Wachter I know I need to check out Brave & Bold Season One yet as it has a lot of media references but I hacen't got there yet

Infinity Entertainment News is a media station mentioned in S.H.A.D.E., it's a sub corporation of Infinity Inc.

BlueGold Media is a major media corporation that spans networks and web focusing solely on capes everywhere. I have Charles Szasz (or however you spell it) prior to becoming Vic Sage as one of their main guys during Season 1 then I'll be claiming Roy Raymond Jr. this month as his replacement.
Infinity Entertainment as mentioned above is also a sponsor there for Mas y Menos.
I can probably do more but that's off the top of my head.
You can probably use William McCoy from the new volume of Superman (I know the real McCoy that Perez based him on!!!)
There's Caitlin Callahan with the WGBS and Arturo Rodriguez both Gotham characters.

Keystone City and Central City have Central Key Media, which is a relative monopoly over the Twin Cities. They have CKN (Central Key Network), which is the main TV station, which has the morning, afternoon, evening and nightly news. They also operate the Twin City Independent, which is the main News Paper in Central and Keystone City. Iris is the Editor-in-Chief of the Independent in the present day.
Each city also has their own news station and papers, but most of the people read the Independent and watch Central Key News.
Haven't given much though to Opal. Honestly, Opal is more of a home for the JSA. While I develop it a bit, the people in it are more important than the institutions.

Glad to see this pop up. I'm know I'll be needing several major news networks come Aquaman #4. This will definitely be a great resource when I sit down to write that.
Has anyone established any West Coast news organizations?

That'd be Gateway and Jack to ask. Could always try to get board approval for Snapper Carr to be free or just take the guy yourself.

I haven't made any specifically, so go for it. I'd be interested in using them too.

I will post this along with my Gotham story bible when its done, but this is relevant to the thread topic.
Gotham's major daily newspaper is the Gotham Gazette. I have to double check with wachter on this, but the owners of the paper (and other media outlets) will likely be the Kane family, since as wachter put it, they own the half of Gotham the Wayne's don't ;D
One of its most prominent investigative reporters is Vicki Vale (one of my wallpapers). EDIT: Not so fast, see post below!
More to come as it gets worked out.

Gotham is actually going to have 2 major daily newspapers, the aforementioned Gotham Gazette is the daily tabloid style paper (think NY Daily News or Boston Herald if you are familiar with cities' papers), while the older more traditional daily is the Gotham Guardian (think NY Times or Boston Globe).
Vicki Vale is a reporter for the Guardian (but got her start at the Gazette, and is now trying to make a name for herself as a more serious journalist with the job change).
The Gotham Guardian is part of the media conglomerate known as the Gotham Broadcasting Company, owned and operated by one Alan Scott (Thanks C_Miller for the permission to use him for this).
I still want the Gazette to be a Kane family holding but I am waiting for the ok on that one.
