A solid end to the arc.
You do a great job of pointing out the fact that summoning the Demon should always be a last resort, and that there are clear consequences for releasing him in any fight.
I probably would have preferred it if these four issues were condensed into three issues, but overall I think it works structure-wise. I just hope your next arc doesn't end up being five issues long.
I look forward to working with you and the rest of the writers involved on the magical side of the UDCU.

Wow I had to stop midread to comment on the excellent job you did on the Etrigan transformation. Sent a shiver down my spine.
We will have to nail down a month for this so I can reference the Demon's appearance.

#8 is up!
First part of what I expect to be a 5 part arc. Introduces some major players in the game, past and present. Let me know what you guys think!

I liked it (as always). One nit-pick: You quite often use it's possessively ie: "Instead it wraps it's large, slimy arms around Dawn in a bear hug. It's arms pin Dawn's to her sides.". Its is possessive anyway, so the apostrophe isn't needed. That's really he only criticism I can think of.

Yeah that's one issue I was never sure about and have honestly been too lazy to look up. Thanks.

Loved this chapter! And oh my god! The Halls! Robin Hood! Hell yeah!
There was the occasionaly grammar error, but over all this chapter was quite good and the characterization spot on. 9/10.

Flashbacks can sometimes be a problem because we know in the end what will happen. That it's all one big explanation of the real conflict of the present. Just one (of many) reasons that the Star Wars Prequels didn't work is because we all know how they're going to end: Badly. Other times, we know that everything works out well in the flashback because the people involved are alive and well today.
I've seen a few series that use constant flashbacks to tell a completely different but still compelling story. Once Upon a Time jumps around different periods in the past. Arrow is still telling us about Oliver's time on the island. And also this series.
The flashbacks work because although they do provide much-needed exposition, they continue to do so in a way that's compelling. Just because something happens in a flashback doesn't make it any less suspenseful here because there are plenty of unknown factors that could go either way in the flashbacks. Yes, we knew that Jason Blood was eventually going to go Etrigan in the first arc, and that Klarion was going to turn out evil in the second, but you've still managed to make that journey compelling. This Robin Hood flashback is particularly suspenseful because even though we all know the story of Robin Hood, the fact that so much has changed already from the traditional story means that anything still goes.
I'm sad that you've announced that you're not going to continue DK after this arc, but I think it's all right since you have three very solid storylines. I'd offer to help, but honestly I don't think there's much I could offer in terms of storyline.

I appreciate the praise. Back when I started I hinted at my inspiration for the flashbacks and no one ever really figured it out, but it was Highlander. I wanted to use flashbacks the same way the show did, to reveal Jason's past with other characters that would come in and out of his life over and over.
I still think it's a really good set up for a series and would love to see it continue. I still have two issues to finish this arc so I hope someone comes forward and agrees to take it over, or even just cowrite it so I can focus more on Aquaman.
When I made the decision I debated doing the following arc that I had been building the series to, but I've decided against it. I would be introducing some more characters and defining them in continuity and I feel that it would possibly hamper any following writers who want to take over the series or use the characters if the DK claims get split up. It's also why this arc went from 5 issues to 4, because I decided to cut out some more scenes with Hawk and Dove so that if someone scoops them up later they aren't bound to more continuity than the fact that they're going to Gotham University.

Because I waited to read Rebellions Pt. 1 after I took a break from reading... Bob stole the only comment I was going to make.
But that's okay.
I'm The Ulti-Monitor and he's my Forerunner.
You've done a great job with this series. Fantastic and even though I think your story has been somewhat weak in comparison to the characters filling it, I'm still interested in the "Where it's going" and "What happened to get there." Your greatest strength has to be the blending of the present with the past and you have superior pacing skills.
The only flaw storywise that I could see was Witch-boy's reveal at the play to Dawn. It sorta just happened. It was random and out of left field which may be what chaos is sometimes... it just didn't resonate at all. "Oh. I'm bored. DEMON TIME!" You also rushed their relationship. Only a few days had passed and yet you made Dawn seem like her whole world had started to revolve around Klarion.
All in all, a great job and I'll be missing the series.

Loving the Rebellions storyline you have what looks to be a satisfying conclusion to the story you've been telling.

So #10 is up!
I'll be honest, it's not my best work. At this point I'm struggling to get through it and am really just trying to finish the arc to leave things off in an acceptable place. Still, feel free to comment.

Looses sight, huh? That's up there with the the leg incident in Arrow.
You're right, it's not some of your best work so I'm just not gonna comment on that. The Robin Hood storyline... I don't know what's up with it but I just can't get behind it. The Klarion flashbacks were fantastic. The Arthurian were interesting. Sherwood Forest just feels meh and it's felt that way since the start. Maybe because unlike the tying of Jason to the Borgias slightly, this is just there. I feel like I could get the same amount of interest if you just had them explain it in the present or you reduced the flashbacks to issue 11 the killing of Guy or something.

So issue #11 is up, and so ends my run on Demon Knights. I'm not sure what is going to happen, since Wachter was going to take over but things came up that put that in question. Either way, I hope someone continues the story, as I'd love to know what happens to these guys. Keep em coming!

Sad to see the series end. I don't think the last arc was your best work, but it was still up to a good standard, and as with the rest of the series you did a good job of making it so that whenever Etrigan is summoned it's an "oh shit" moment, so to speak.

Great arc. Sorry for not reviewing sooner. I'm really sad to see you go.
In my opinion, your past segments are, on average, better than your present ones. That being said, I have to disagree with liquidsword. This was my favorite of your present arcs so far...other than the last issue...it felt rushed. I'm really excited to see what is done with these characters! 9/10 for the entire arc.
