After a hectic May and two year anniversary, time for changes. The most notable change to you all is probably the New Rules. The simplified rules are Buck’s last act before his break. When even the Admin have to screen the rules for clarification, you know they got a bit complicated. These new ones don’t spell everything out to you except for that final, most important rule. As always, they’ll still be subject to change but you all will know when it’s done.
The second is the change in the Admin for at least June while Buck and Miller get their off-net lives in order. You have me (Wachter) and Discipleofbob as my second if I’m unavailable. Buck will still be around backing us up but don’t rely on him for more than odd thing here or there. If you have something to ask of the Admin, PM me first. If I don’t get back to you within a couple of days if it’s important, try Bob.
Because it’s basically just me going at alone this month with some help on the side, we’re going to try an experiment. The experiment is this topic. This topic will let you know what’s going on with the Site as well as give you guys a change to weigh in.
Without further adieu…
Note: This is not a voting matter. It’s a chance for your opinion to be heard and taken into consideration.

The Matter of Reclaims
Do you think the Reclaim rule should stay and has served as a deterrent for hording characters?
Wachter: Given that we don’t see claims as much as we did in the old universe… I think it does part of its job and forces you to think about your title and the characters you need to use within a given period.
Completed Titles Used Characters
Demon Knights is our first completed title and outside of his core cast and potentially Arthurian era characters… Star left most characters more than open to be easily picked up by another. How do you think these characters should be treated?
Wachter: I’m gonna sit this one out for a bit and see what you guys think. Especially on how you interpret the question.
Calendar Killings: Calendar Man
Those who are participating in Calendar Killings (or at least those who have taken part in the discussion) have voted for Calendar Man to be the antagonist for simplicity’s sake. If any of you have a problem with him being taken as a Board Claim towards that project, now is the time to let us know.

A.R.G.U.S. and Project Cadmus
Now that it’s been decided that A.R.G.U.S. and its shadowy side, Project Cadmus, have replaced the D.E.O. at least in terms of prominence, we have the fun opportunity of defining them and giving the organization life with both history and people. That means we need you! [/Uncle Sam Pose]
We have Amanda Waller, former General Liaison for the D.E.O., as its head and the fact that she led a coup against her former boss… That’s about it other than Dubbilex and the DNAliens/Genomorphs to fill them out. If you think there are characters who by default, fall under ARGUS/Cadmus like Waller or the Genomorphs then feel free to suggest them. If they are slightly bigger than “wallpaper” then read on…
Donate a Claim
Each title will get a free claim to donate a character or characters towards developing A.R.G.U.S./Cadmus. This claim can be made at any time of the month regardless of if your title has been updated to be used as an Operative, experiment, scientist, prisoner, etc of the organization…. While it’ll still come out of your claiming pool for the month, said claim will operate outside of traditional reclaiming/use needs including the two issue requirement. You also have the option of an “exchange” with a character you’ve already used or have where you can replace them with ARGUS/Cadmus free claim.
Only one per title. If you have more than one character that you want to connect to them and add towards world building, then by all means, make note of them or PM me since I’ll be keeping track of all things ARGUS/Cadmus.
How does this work?
I don’t want you to donate any old claim/character. I want it to be someone or something that you can reasonably use to add to the universe and the faction.
For Example:
-Bob could make Lady Blackhawk one of their operatives.
-Adrini could have Kurt Lance as Dinah’s Uncle or Cousin and he’s an operative. Or Roy’s grandfather/great-great Grandfather was once the WWII hero the Guardian and now Cadmus has cloned an army or a single experiment of him.
-Jackalope could add someone to their board that’s meant to watch over Hundred.
-The Superman writer could have any Superman Family member (Why make Superboy the clone, you could have Kara) or even Doomsday as an experiment meant to operate at a level to take on people of mass destruction.
-Villain of the Week that you need but don’t know what to do with afterwards or how they were created.
Said character is then yours to develop either on page or behind the scenes. People would come to you with requests to use them if needed. Think of it as half-a-board-claim. The character will be marked under both ARGUS/Cadmus (with your name next to it) and your title.
When you make the claim or the exchange, remember to note ARGUS/Cadmus.
If you can’t think of a character that wouldn’t be forced or if you don’t want to participate… That’s okay. This is simply a chance to do some world building and interconnectivity, however slight, between titles.
History and Where We Go From Here with A.R.G.U.S.
Pitch their creation and what we can do in the future with them. You can either do it here or PM it to me. Since I just spent the last hour writing this up and I still have more things to do for the board, I’ll post my ideas later. I have a couple of decent ones that play off what Star did, what MRP was attempting to do with Amazo project (that you guys have heard before), and A.R.G.U.S.’s upgraded version of the D.E.O.’s Manhunters.
