Very late in coming. About ten days late since I got the verdict but hey... Better late than never. Gonna fuse it with May unless I end up having something new to add/discuss by the time Mid-May rolls around.
---
This is the continuity topic. Here you post your opinions on discussions or submit entries for the Continuity board. As warning, there might be spoilers for those who are not up to date so if you're intent on giving me info after every issue that is not general mythos without waiting a few days, better to PM me or learn the spoiler coding.
Spoiler coding: [ highlight=black ][ color=black ]INSERT SPOILERS[ /color ] [/highlight ]
Take out the spaces for the brackets and there you go. And, I don't know why, but the Highlight code is very temperamental. It sometimes won't work unless you get it just right.
---
Gonna start things off with the major ANNOUNCEMENT INVOLVING CONTINUITY AND DROPPED TITLES
There is no hard line when it comes to a dropped title and its effects on continuity. Everything will be handled on a case by case basis. Some may think this fair. Some may think this goes against the assumed board's motto of writing in a shared universe with the intent of what you write matters in the long term... Point is any time we've had a dropped title after that hard line of six issues, there's always been discussion on how to handle the transition and how to make it so that these characters don't forever remain neglected.
It'll be up to the next writer and said writer would have to deal with the restrictions (if any) involved with it such as the Superman/Ex Machina deal.
What does this mean?
What you write still matters, it always matters. The difference is now YOU know that whether you have four issues, six issues, or twelve... Your work will be evaluated on if it can be taken over, character and story-wise. There will be no more auto-deleting of dropped titles without some discussion. A majority will be moved to dropped titles until such a time as a new writer comes along.
What can you do to help?
Continuity/Monitor Duty always has been and always will be optional. There are only two fields that I feel are the least people can submit info on. One is Used Characters (it helps you so that the admins aren't gnawing at your feet). The Other is World of Ultimate (helps others so that they know where things are). Everything else? That's just a bonus. That's something that I'd hope you'd do and use to make this feel like a shared world.
And in submitting information, whether it is Major Players, summaries of your arcs, timeline, mythos, etc... That makes it easier to keep track of and makes your titles more user and admin friendly. Star is one of my main contributors to the Continuity Board and as all you know, he is going to be dropping Demon Knights after his current arc is finished. Everything he has done has made it so that the torch is readily passed whether a direct continuation, the characters are divvied up, or the title goes in a new direction. (For the record of those of you paying attention... it's gonna be a direct continuation)
Now, I'm not saying you have to contribute. Just as I'm not saying that you have to play in the shared sandbox. Many great titles have had absolutely nothing to do with the world at large and if you want to write fanfiction about a certain character, then more power to you. But understand this... We are a shared sandbox. That's our appeal. If you have 14 issues and nothing has been done to cement your story in the world at large, then there is a chance (however small or however large) that your work will no longer be considered in continuity or pieces of your work are no longer applicable.
I will always say communication between members is the way to go. We are a community. Many things (small things) can be done to aid one another whether it is a new piece of WayneTech that's on the market referenced in Planetary, Queen Industries releasing their new, green crop popping up in Primal Forces, Cluemaster brokering some information to Wonder Woman about Cheetah, or Lex Luther getting the key to the city. In many ways communication is better than Monitor Duty. The Continuity board is just there to help you better communicate.
TL:DR Dropped titles and Continuity will be handled on a case by case basis. That 6 Issue Rule from the old universe is no longer applicable. You are in continuity from Day 1, Issue 1. What we want is for people to write.
---
Next post will be my Ideal Formats and after that, the discussion topics for the month.

Before we begin discussing the plans for April/May, lets start with my ideal formats for the least amount of info which make my job as The Ulti-Monitor more efficient and in turn makes it easier for you all to find continuity info. ---X--- Used CharactersOkay, I don't technically have an ideal format for this one... I just prefer to be updated every two issues. You can update me every issue. It's just not required. Ultimate Timeline v1.1If it's in the past, ballpark the season (excluding anything over uh... 30 years or so). If it's in 2012, give me the month (early, mid, late is optional) If it's in the present, Issue Numbers and Months (hopefully with early, mid, or late). Past is the first post, 2012 is the second post. Present is the third post. My timeline is based on President O'Neil's re-election in November 2012 within the pages of Ex Machina as a measuring point. I'm going to repeat myself and say this is the LEAST amount of detail I'd like. Issue numbers really should be mentioned in relation to the entry but is not required for general mythos. That said, if you're recapping major events within your title... Don't you think you should say what issue it is so that someone can go read up on it in more detail? Major PlayersMajor players encompasses individual characters or organizations that would be considered larger than their title (for the most part). It's where you'd go to find to people or groups that you can safely reference in your series. It's perfect for trying to get the feel that this is a shared universe. Don't really have an ideal format or what can be placed here (I'm sure there are sections I haven't thought of or people haven't requested) other I want more than a name. Here's an example of the Kane Family and various things associated with them. I'm not expecting everyone to have this much text for the submissions... They're just examples so I'll give you the highly detailed Kane stuff and the simple, friendly Bruno Mannheim. Major Players Robert Kane: When one talks about how the Kane Family owns half of Gotham, they usually refer to the patriarch himself, Robert Kane. And though he may act like that’s true, he’s in fact the second richest man in Gotham as his family fortune is spread out among his family and ex-wives. He’s the acting CEO and President of Kane Consolidated and reality TV sensation with his own show (Intern) and catchphrase (Get Out!). Some might say he’s addicted to marriage and makes the happiest day in their lives, the day he finally signs the divorce papers. He’s a shrewd businessman – having successfully brought Kane Consolidated and its subsidiaries into the modern age – and has a larger than life personality. Yet, all that falters in the face of his family. He supports his daughter in all her endeavors and even raised his brother’s children. Kane Consolidated: The parent company to the various Kane Family holdings from Kane Brothers Entertainment (established by its current President’s father and uncle in their youth) to even Mark Securities, a well known Private Military Firm used by the rich and anyone else who can afford them. They run numerous charities both local – The Safehaven Group (an association’s whose goal is to clean up Gotham and Blüdhaven) – and global with the Little Sister Foundation named in honor of the family’s personal losses. In popular culture, Kane Brothers Entertainment is perhaps their most famous holding with its countless blockbusters and hit reality shows based around Robert Kane (Robert Kane’s Intern) and his second wife (The Cougars of Jersey). Kane Family: One of the First Families of Gotham, the Kane Family’s size and fame has been something of a double-edged sword in recent years as tragedies and feuds seem to follow in their wake. The eldest, Robert, while an amazing businessman, has made a habit of picking the wrong kind of woman. The youngest was murdered on the streets of Gotham leaving all her holdings to her only son. And Jacob, the middle child, turned his back on both family and fortune after the loss of his sister and the suspicious death of his wife, leaving him a widower with two daughters he didn’t know how to raise on his own. The current generation is female dominated with only one male heir who stands to become the richest one of them all. - Bruno Mannheim- The unofficial ruler of Metropolis, and the crime kingpin of organised crime there. Little is known of him except his far reaching network of enforcement and influence. Valhalla CemeteryThe dead people topic. You can use much the same format as Timeline for the setting of how much detail to use on dates. BUT I do want issue numbers if it is something you say or show within your title. Meaning: General Mythos is fine for things that happened before series start but if Liquid kills Hal in Issue 9 of GLC, I want Issue 9 reported. World of UltimateSeems pretty straightforward but you'd be amazed at how many people don't seem to get it. Location 1 (City, State/City, Country/Alternate Dimension/Planet) -Character 1 -Character 2 -Team 1 ~Teammate 1.1 ~Teammate 1.2 (Team HQ) ~Teamate 1.3
Location 2 -Character 3 -Character 4 -Teammate 1.2 (Born/Raised, Home, Circa 1994, etc...)That's as simple as it gets. If there's a qualifier for said location or character such as what's needed for Demon Knights or he's on a team that's different than where he lives, then let me know. As the example shows, characters can be listed under more than one entry. As to what characters should be listed... There is technically no limit but to keep it simple. Use only recurring Protagonists, Antagonists, and Supporting. Why Won't You Die?!?For those immortal and/or long lived characters of yours. Character: Since when have they been active.EX: Jason Blood: Sixth Century AD. UpdatesHonestly, it's a lot easier for you to keep track of after every issue but if you want to avoid spoiling the others within this topic if you immediately come here after posting, PM me instead. Every other issue, I'd like an update. Even if you have to say "Nothing major has happened yet" because an arc is not finished or some other reason. Every two or three issues, you really should have at least one thing to add to the world though. SPOILERS!!!For any entry, even recent deaths or general mythos that you haven't revealed yet in universe... I can do SPOILER coding by request. Just keep me informed. I'll code it then mark whatever series it is spoilers to. ---X---

Some ... fun ... discussion topics towards the end.
Major Players
I managed to get quite a lot in terms of Why Won't You Die last month but I'm still looking towards Major Players. If you have suggestions on how to make it clearer or more user friendly, I'm all ears.
Established *insert word here* This was suggested by Bob back in March and is now, perhaps more important than any other. We should try to find a way to summarize various series and characters to make things user friendly to others... To gain their interest. A few titles are getting up there in both issue numbers and length. Not everyone necessarily wants to read 8 issues of Planetary to get caught up or the 11 issues of Demon Knights (which would be a damn shame). Not everyone knows what's going on with certain characters. We got secret files scattered everywhere but nothing simple, and easy to find.
I'm open to suggestions.
And when I take over Demon Knights come July, I'll be making something up (if not done before) to account for the used characters that I have, well, no use for in my initial claims.
This Month...
With everything that happened in March and since, trying to be fair with This Month... has proven to be a logistical nightmare. As I see it, there are two ways to do it if you guys truly desire it's continuation...
1. I give out titles every month and you're expected to do them. (potentially I'll ask you which you DON'T want to read).
2. You guys organize it yourself. One way or another, I'm not going to be able to divide titles up fairly among volunteers. You can either accept it's not going to be fair and not resent the Admin for it or you can try your own hands at it.
The END of Continuity?!?!?
It's been expressed that Monitor Duty and everything it pertains to is useless and only serves to make the board complicated and less a hobby. It's also been expressed that it helps remind us this is a shared sandbox and can help people in at the very least knowing where people and places are.
So the discussion here is... Should The Ulti-Monitor fade away as the food isn't savory enough or should it remain?

If you need me for shifts for This Month or Monitor Duty or whatever else you might need, I'm available. Don't be fooled by my perpetual habit of posting at the deadline. That's just to keep you guys in suspense. (Hey, at least I still beat Flash ;D )

Thanks for the offer, Forerunner. Only thing I really need is fact checker when I add things to it. And since I'm in the midst of wrapping up my Issues 2 and 3 for posting, anyone who wants to go back and get the notes on my backlog would be most welcome to post here.
Other than that... I need to take off all that Shazam stuff. Have no worry, that info will be replaced with MRP's walls of text.

Girlfriend is out of town for the weekend so I'll be a very lonely Ulti-Monitor who has nothing to do but maintenance for the site.
Gonna work on my backlog and start doing the 2012 timeline for 'Haven and Batman since buck and I decided to work a bit in the past.
As an Administrative choice, I'm going to leave the future/present segments of 'Haven off until my Issue 0 which will show up following my next arc (next three issues). If you have any questions on what those segments (colored opening text) mean in relation to the present and if you want them referenced then feel free to contact me and I'll let you know.

Queen Industries: Massive multi-national conglomerate, highly diversified. Two notable wings. Others not worthy of special notice. Arrow Tech: Weapons and defense. Largely works with national contracts for military use. Sherwood Outreach: Began by Robert Queen shortly before his death, it is now the favorite project of the new head and heir. It has been surprisingly successful, and has become rather well known. Focuses on environmental protection and economic growth in third world areas. Also deals in fair trade and low environmental impact goods. Major Players:The DEO-covert organization, originally charted by the League of Nations, but operating independently and funded by unknown independent sources. Tasked with monitoring super-powered or supernatural occurrences and individuals and prevent them from becoming a potential threat to public safety or world stability. The current head of the organization is Director Bones (and he had been in charge since at least the 1920's). Agents can be investigative or military in nature. DEO operatives may have been the origin for Men in Black and/or other operatives of that nature. Military Squads operate in nondescript black uniforms and body armor free from any insignia. Hark Industries (run by Anna Hark)-multinational corporation, one of the largest producers of software and computer operating systems (think Microsoft on steroids). Corporate headquarters are in Silicon Valley. Planetary Inc. -a descendant of the Planetary Expeditionary Corps, now a global organization with offices around the globe, and and support staff operating out of each of these offices. The primary operatives of Planetary consist of a three person team. Many believe the organization is run by a mysterious Fourth Man; but it has been recently revealed that Elijah Snow is the Fourth Man. He is also one of the three current Planetary Operatives, the others being Jakita Wagner and the Drummer. The stated mission statement of Planetary Inc. is to investigate and catalog the history of unexplained phenomenon, and the seek out such things as they occur. Planetary's agents operate covertly, and public perception (those that know of them anyways) is that they are a tax write off of a very eccentric, very wealthy unknown sponsor who chases crackpot theories around the globe. Stormwatch-a covert paramilitary organization with an elite super-powered strike force. Founded by Professor Moriarty at the turn of the 20th century, its goal is to monitor the efforts of individuals, organizations, and others that threaten the status quo and the influence of the cabal of illuminated elites Moriarty was associated with, primarily the efforts of the Century Baby Eugenics Program. Stormwatch is commanded by the Weatherman (currently Harry Bendix), who reports to an unknown council. NB of these-only Hark Industries would be commonly known by the general public, but certain individuals may have knowledge of the others and their operations. Crackpots and conspiracy theorists however, may speak of these organizations quite often though, but few give these folks credence. -M If you need more or less, let me know... Why Won't You Die got some major updates so if your characters are added and something is wrong or you have better ideas on how to list them (anyone), let me know.
For now, I'm taking a break to watch Doctor Who before deleting all the Shazam stuff and working on the more complicated topics.

Thank you, MRP for making sure that was noticed.
Welp. Somehow I was thrown off my groove so I'm done for the night or unless I can get some motivation up before I pass out. 7 Updates isn't too bad.
On the agenda for tomorrow (today) is deciphering Adrini's stuff for some proper posting, finally putting up MRP's humungous timeline info. Getting creative with your guys Why Won't You Die individual postings to see if I can make them into Major Players, take the SHazam stuff off, the Major Players that have been given, and doing some stuff (that Buck and I worked out) with the timeline and reflections on issues so that you guys who actively participate in Monitor Duty can better see how it is done.
Also might make a Stories So Far subboard as a proto-type.

I need to double check the existing continuity in case there's anything missing, but...
Used Characters: Stephen Trevor, Diana Trevor, Julia Kapatelis, Nina Close
I also referenced Theseus and the Blackhawk Squadron in this issue, but I'm not sure if they count as officially "used" yet.

Planetary/Authority Announcement
MRP's titles have been moved over to dropped.
Nothing has been decided on what to do with the title or the claims at the moment. As far as we know, the only issues involve his loaning of the DEO and Manhunters out to people (specifically Aquaman and Haven 3). It's not that big of problem since Star is in the past and I was vague so there are currently a few ideas out there to prevent unnecessary claiming and changing of stories. MRP was kind enough to specifically drop Authority right before DEO's true reveal so as to make the best transition should someone decide to continue his stories or claims.
They are special case of stories as they spin off of each other so it requires thought.
As of now, I'm considering a subboard full of all his notes including the issue recaps and what not. Everything is still in its early stages.
Star has recieved permission to use the DEO one more time. If you made any sort of deal with MRP through the Amazo project or them showing up (or something I've missed)... Let me know ASAP.

Alright. Not counting Star's entry for Hell and it's hierarchy (that I'm debating on adding since Demon Knights is completed now and as far as I know, he left it relatively open for someone format however they want), looks like I'm all caught up. No new submissions really this month which is both good and bad since it means I managed to get through the backlog. On the other hand, it makes me want to bring back my Ulti-Monitor Avatar and remind you to FEED ME since no opinions were given for the discussion topics (doesn't look good for END OF CONTINUITY but I'll most likely keep it going cause this is stuff I like and we're gonna start pushing towards some slightly more cohesive things in titles that have established themselves). I'll still be pushing Major Players in June but I really only think that effects Ex Machina and me putting up the Royal Flush Gang. It'll also be effected by our discussion on ARGUS/Cadmus as a group. Most likely, I'll mainly be pushing stuff for the timelines that have happened in your issues (instead of general mythos) for people who have completed an arc or more. I'll provide an easy example for Red Pill and I already showed a detailed one for 'Haven 4. Do not get nervous looking at the Planetary subboard and think that's what I'm looking for. MRP is well known for his wordiness and details and you guys don't know half the notes he takes. As of now, I feel I might create two Monitor Duty topics every month. One that is board discussion for the month. In this case, June will have ARGUS/Cadmus and the topic of "donate a claim." One that is solely continuity matters that way the Continuity topic doesn't get cluttered and coming in here, you don't have to worry about spoilers to discuss other things. ===X=== CORRECTION!!! I still have one thing left to do (since Jay absolutely refuses to give up how he wants his twin cities set up)... I have to put Adrini's Green Arrow Characters under Star City, Illinois and do the same for Bludhaven. Oh... And Bob's since he finally got Diana set up in Gateway. I'm ashamed I forgot about my own people and cast.
