We are already talking about the shows anyways so why not make a thread for the universe they live in?
This is the DC TV Universe thread!
Discuss all things Flash and Arrow tv shows here. We might be getting a Supergirl next year and we might be getting some Titans. Nothing is confirmed for those two shows coming into the universe but it's fun to think about it.

So that Arrow episode. This season hasn't been as great as season 2, besides the crossover of course, but god damn if that ending wasn't absolutely amazing. Also how awesome is John Barrowman? Sure that's not a surprise but his scene with Oliver was better than most of the rest of this season almost entirely because of him.

Constantine just introduced the Spectre. It's given me The Spectre and the Helmet of Fate and Arrow hasn't even give me a canary cry that isn't canned. I'm calling it.

I am really liking Constatine. It's pulling a lot from the source and from Swamp Thing. Sadly it looks like it will be cancelled after one short season.
Technically Spectre wasn't introduced, it's host was.

Part of me wantsa to check out Constantine, and part of we wonders how much of an arsehole he'd be able to be on network television.

Generally he starts off as one a little, but warms up. After a time he even becomes a great friend. They have have to prove it, it's fair. And even when he is an ass he's really quite funny. It's one of my favorite shows right now, top three.

He is Constantine-lite, but he still stays true to the spirit of the character.

But it's not flash, or comic book GA. It's dark. Evil, darkness, bad things. He does tend to win, though. It's just costs him sometimes, which is how the books work to. Dark humor, good humor, but dark humor. And he is a hero, he saves the day. That's something. Also no will they/won't they so far. Just really good stories, I personally like that. Way too many tiangles, old flames, new flames, blah blah blah as of late.

Well that's a good thing, the biggest problem holding flash back is it's love triangle so it's good to hear Constantine doesn't fall into that trap, probably helped by not being a CW show.

I...despise CW.
He has hook ups, but they are clearly understood to be hook ups. No confusion here, no expectation of a phone call after. There is a slow burn but it's clear they'll end up in the end. No others to complicate it. But there also isn't a rush, the point is to stop the baddies, and that's generally what they focus on. It works.

Yeah....I think it tends to have the opposite effect, especially if Lazarus Pits ends up being involved.
