Yeah if you'd had him actually stand up for what he believed, even if all he did was get in an argument with Booker, it would have shown him being idealistic. But as it's written, he whines and complains but never actually does anything about it.

That's coming in the next issue. It was going to be too long to feature everything.

In all I liked the issue. It was a good introduction to the characters of John Stewart and Booker. I liked that they came back to Earth and we saw that the Qward armor is now being used. I really wanna read what happens next with it. I didn't have a problem with Stewart not suddenly standing up to Booker. Because it kills the story of him getting the armor there.

I thought that the first issue was good, though I felt Hal Jordan was a little sadistic, what with being happy about breaking Guy Gardner's ribs. I did like Guy though, interesting take.
Good stuff overall though, I look forward to reading more.

Thanks lunaticstrain. The sadism is explained in issue two. I hope you enjoy what you read. There will be more soon.

Great issue. Really enjoying your take on Green Lantern I hope you can maintain the title well into the future.

Issue 6 was brilliant, man. The ending was an absolute shock, definitely worth of the Ultimate label. Keep it up.

Thanks. Part of what's kept me back was refining the story. I wanted this one to be worth it. I only recently discovered that John Stewart was given what he was given in this issue in the regular DC Continuity also. It made me almost reconsider, as I didn't want to be seen as copying.

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what I was trying to do with subtle foreshadowing. I tried to hint at Abin Sur's return by having Hal feel somehow familiar with things like Oa and the corpsmen. I don't know how it came across.

Honestly I didn't pick up on that, but its a great thing to be able to look back on and go, "ah..."
This issue was your best by far. A great climax from the story you've been working on all of this time. I know a lot of people were hankering to take on some Green Lantern when they thought that you had been dropped from this title (its amazing how many people are into GL). I'm so glad you haven't been. It'd be kind of a shame though if those keen didn't get a chance to tell their stories, under your banner, or under the banner of some Green Lantern Corps title- I know you've kind of proposed something similar.
Anyway, great stuff, look forward to more.

I forgot, Abin Sur's presences was also meant to be the reason why nobody could read Hal's mind.

I really enjoyed the battle with Booker and Tomar using facebook as a way to beat him. I enjoyed that and the Carol/Guy parts. My only knock is at the end. I never cared for the rainbow Lanterns deal. I was never a fan of that in the DCU now. I just like the whole Green Lantern Corps and feel having a lot more ring groups out , makes the original concept pale some.

To be honest, the first couple of issues didn't grab me, but starting with Sines Toro's arrival everything became incredible. Keep it up!

Thanks a bunch. I'm working on pacing this series. The first issue is the standard intro, the second is more exposition with a bit of action, and the third is mostly combat. Then we slow down for more dialog in the fourth and fifth, with more action in the sixth. I'm trying to alternate.

Issue 7 is up. I had to tweak the structure of the story slightly for pacing and length. This is a "talky" issue, number 8 will be much more action. After that, there will be a miniseries of five issues for each of the new heroes, detailing their training from issue 7 and their backstory.

It is a talky issue. Not a bad issue in of itself but it does kinda read and feel like you tacked it together just to make your deadline and loses some of your usual style.
Interested to see where you go from there.

Well, I couldn't have made it as long as I wanted because it would have been overlong. Whenever I have the choice between overlong and overshort I always go short.
