Unstable Equations.

Time: Fours hours ago, before the accident.[/color]

"Are you sure about this?"

"Yes, Ralph. I need to work in the morning." Barry said getting out of Ralph's car.

"Come on Barry! Don't be a nerd. Come home and play video games." Ralph says trying to do his best whiny voice.

"...You do realize how dumb you sound right now."

"What can I say? Had to make sure you were sober enough to remember the code." Ralph smiles as Barry gives him the bird.

"Asshole."

"Hey, I gotta look out for you mi familia! OW!! OW!!!" Ralph says revving up the engine and the black Honda Civic. He starts to drive off as Barry heads towards the lab.

"You are seriously the little brother I never wanted Ralph. See ya tomorrow!" Barry yells at Ralph as he drives off.

Time: 60 minutes ago.

"Oh hello Swedish bikini models...why are you ringing so?" Ralph muttered as he woke up. There was a loud ringing from his cellphone. "What the hell?"

"Ralph! Damn it! I've been calling you for an hour!"

"Mr. Allen? What's going on? It's like...way to early to be calling us. Barry's not here, he's at the lab." Ralph said getting up out of bed.

"No he's not Ralph. He's in the hospital."

"What?" Ralph's sluggishness immediately stopped as he reached for his pants. "No. I just saw him a few hours ago. What happened?"

"Lab accident or something I don't know the details. He's burned real bad we're at Central City Hospital."

"I'll be there shortly Mr. Allen. Do you need anything?"

"You got Barry's notes? I want to know what he was working on that could have caused this. The officers investigating the case will want a copy." Ralph quickly got dressed and headed into Barry's room grabbing the portable hard drive.

"I do have a backup, but it won't do them any good."

"What do you mean?"

"They're triple encrypted. Only Barry knows the access code."

"What was he working on? He had to have told you something?"

"Mr. Allen, What wasn't he working on. This guy gets an idea on how to make rubber shoes last longer, finding micro atomic structures, to...fixing burn victims skin." Ralph smiled and grabbed his keys. He locked the apartment behind him and heading to his civic.

"What are you talking about Ralph?"

"It was only in the testing phase but when he wakes up Barry might have a way to cure himself of the burns. It's a long shot, but it's some good news Mr. Allen."

"So that's on the files. That's great Ralph. How fast can you get that here?"

"Not a problem, Mr. Allen, I should be there shortly." Ralph stopped for a moment as he started the car."He's going to be fine, Mr. Allen."

"I know Ralph. Just...get over here as fast as you can. He'll want to see you when he wakes up." Henry Allen hung up the phone. He stood outside the unit they had his son in. Henry Allen could stand up to criminals, super villains, and even his wife when she wanted him to give up smoking. He couldn't stand for this. His son could be dying and their isn't a damn thing he can do about it.

Time: Present.

Barry Allen kept moving as fast as he possibly could. The red energy kept flowing off of him as he kept running. He didn't understand this form he was in, but he was being pulled somewhere. He kept rushing and rushing towards it. There was a building in the way. He had to go around. No. He couldn't. The impact at this speed would kill him. No. No! NO! What. It's like swimming in concrete. Glass, wood, and stone is pretty much nothing to him. The molecules are moving between subatomic areas. What's that? The structure? It's not reconnecting. Something's wrong! He can't slow down. He can't. Come on! This has to stop! He has to stop!

Time: Present

"What the hell is that thing?" Weather Wizard asks as himself, Mirror Master, and Captain Boomerang followed the red blur in their stealth ship.

"If I knew that we wouldn't be checking it out would we?" Boomer said smiling. "What do the scanners say Double M?"

"That thing is moving way to fast to be anything alive. It's like it's made of pure ener...Holy shit!"The red blur just went through a building. The resulting energy started to hit like a wave out of the building. It glowed yellow for a moment.

"What on earth is that?" Weather Wizard said in awe as he watched the energy build.

"It just passed through that building and..."The explosion rocked the city for a moment. A boom occurring as the structure of the building fell apart. Mirror Master leaned over the console and shakes for a moment."That thing just ripped that building apart. The energy seems to be unstable. Where is it heading to?"

"How can we tell that" asked Mirror Master as Boomer brought the ship around.

"It's heading in a straight line. Anything vital in front of it?" Boomerang asked as he focused in on the energy form.

"A few warehouses, some building and...Central City Memorial." Mirror Master said stepping back. He looks at his fellow Rogues. This was something they had never seen before. Boomerang got silent and pushed the engines forward.

"Oh God." Weather Wizard says looking towards the large structure of the hospital building.

"What do we do Boomer?" Mirror Master asked looking terrified for the first time since he gave up his addictions. Boomer turned to his friend.

"We stop that thing! If it does that to a warehouse if it hits those people we are gonna have a huge disaster on our hands."

"We aren't heroes." Mirror Master and Boomer look a Weather Wizard. He sighed for a moment. "This isn't our usual thing we do. This is not going to..."

"Today we are. Get the rest on the ball." Boomer says as he starts targeting the weapons of the ship. "Call them. Now!"
