I've come to a decision on what I must do. And I have to say that it was the hardest decision I've ever made regarding fanfiction. As I'm sure you can tell from the previous sentence, I am dropping Shazam effective immediately.

I am doing this first and foremost for all of you, my fellow UDC friends, and the potential writers out there. Currently, I am overwhelmed with work, school and otherwise, and have come to a decision that I can not harm the success of this site by putting out late, mediocre work on a title I don't really want to write. It is not fair for me to pull down Shazam, characters and story, with my overloaded schedule. I hope a writer out there will want Shazam and the lovely characters detailed in my (as of now) ex-claims. Because, in truth, the characters are just that: lovely. Fantastic. And despite my feelings for the story itself, I will certainly miss Billy, Mary, Freddie, Black Adam, Dudley, Darla, the Boys of the Home, Sivana, The Wizard and Tawny. Oh, and the Tyler's, although I hadn't gotten to them yet.

I also must admit that for the near future I will be unable to claim a title on the site. My worst fears about Infinite DC (Mezarro's site) are true, and writing-wise I am leaving the site. I will, however, stay around as a reader, reviewer, and friend.

I'd like to personally apologize to Stardrifter and The (Incredible) Ulti-Monitor. Star, sorry I wasted your time on building up the magical side of everything and potentially crossing over Shazam and Demon Knights (with Fate involved ) And Wachter, I am deeply, deeply sorry that I added so much to your workload in continuity and, if no writer decides to pick up where I left off, that you have to delete that.

But who knows? A year, maybe two, I could be back with a story in mind and a lot of time on my hands. Anyway, until then I suppose.
