We have three rule changes/addendums so far for the month that were a little late in being taken care of cause we wanted them up in Feb.
Claims
9a. Under certain conditions, you may gain an additional claim if you make multiple reviews of substance (more than I liked it or I didn't like it) for the month. One way is to review seven issues. The other is by reviewing half of the issues for the current month posted by the 21st of the month. This does not mean you get two claims. One or the other. The reason for this is because we have many members who are up to date and current with our titles whereas some are behind because they are new or otherwise behind and can review their backlog for the total of seven.
Deadlines
3. While there is no official page requirement or word count, each issue must tell a full chapter of an ongoing story or a complete stand alone story. This is more based on feel, so may be subjective. If you feel it may not be enough then you're probably right, but run it by an admin if you need a semi-official opinion. If for whatever reason, an admin speaks to you in private about a problem with the issue and way to get us to let it pass, just nod your head and do it. We don't want to chase anyone away just because they didn't fit into something that is arguably an opinion.
3a. To further clarify what constitutes an issue... Side-stories, one-offs, Issues 0, Annuals, .Whatever, etc... within the constraints of your title and claims can count towards your deadline for the month/required issues providing they advance your story in some form or offer character insight. Meaning the Green Lantern Corps writer could submit an issue outside his series titled "Green Lantern: Kilowog" and it would be fine. On the other hand, a "Red Lantern Corps #1" (that does not expand on what's been happening or has happened) which might have the looks of an ongoing or limited series would not. As always, if worried about if the issue should count, contact an admin.
3b. Writers can request a side issue not "count" as an official issue for requirements and usage (remember claims must be used in a certain number of issues). Side issues will count for usage, claims, monthly deadline requirements, etc. unless the author requests that they do not. If the request is made, they do not count for any of it (i.e. it will not count against you for issues used before losing a claim, but does not count as issues towards meeting deadlines or requirements for issues needed to claim characters or titles either). The request must be made in the Non-Claim Admin Request thread when the issue is posted.
We still have a few other matters to discuss so remember to check back in this topic by the end of the week.
