Hi. I'm a new kid. Just passed by this neat little site when I googled "Ultimate DC". I'm not a really good writer by any means (my stuff is mediocre at best) but I hope to learn a lot from the people here. If anyone's willing to show me the ropes.

You can find us on google now? Very cool. Um... the best way to learn how to write is to read. I started reading "real" books for fun this summer again after a long break due to school and I can't tell you how much I've learned. There are a lot of fantastic writers on this board, so read the stories and maybe do some reviews if you're so inclined and you'll fit in in time.

Thank you for the warm welcome, sir. If I can ask: how do you review a story? Is replying to a forum post labeled as a story deemed okay? And are there any certain tests one has to take part in in order to prove they are a worthy enough writer to receive a title?

The board labeled "Series Discuss" has a number of threads, one for each title on the board. All the reviews go in there. As for being "worthy" of a title, there's no test per se. If you want to post a sample of your writing to be reviewed for pointers or what not before you jump in, I don't see why you couldn't do that. But no one else went through a test, so you're fine if you want to bypass that. Most of the people here now (with the exception of a couple) just kind of showed up and started writing and it worked out in nearly all the cases.
