Okay, so the new head of DC went on record saying she wants to focus more on the female crowd, and I was glad to hear it. But so far I don't think they know what they're doing.
I've seen art for Oracle and Wonder Woman and they look like Barbie dolls. Generally girls who are drawn to comics are so, at least in part, to get away from barbies. I don't see this working. Thoughts?

I haven't read comics in years since I simply decided it had to go for money's sake, but I've kept up on things and when I saw the new art for the Batgirl revamp...wow. She looks like she's thirteen. If they wanted to go with a younger Barbara they should have deaged her with the reboot. Now it's just creepy.

I can't speak for Wonder Woman but at least on Tumblr the Batgirl redesign has been ridiculously well received.

Mostly women, they seem to love the new outfit for being something that a young woman could conceivably make for herself.

The cosplayers. I do like the costume as well, just not the rest.

Like what exactly, From what's being said. I think the new direction sounds interesting, and hey it won't be dark and gritty so that will be one of DC's book not filled with death and destruction.

Babs seems be nearing valley girl territory. But I agree with escaping doom and gloom. About time.
