I'd seen the pilot during the summer when it leaked, but God damnit, did I enjoy watching it for the umpteenth time, and in HD no less! I love it, and I'm totally onboard. My #1 show this Fall, no doubt.
So, your guys' thoughts.
Also, Flash Fact. Originally I planned a Flash title for the site. The premise was radically different than the show's, BUT my list of villains in order went Captain Cold, Mob Rule, The Mist, and Weather Wizard. The TV show's over the next four weeks (including this one) are Weather Wizard (kinda sorta...it's his brother), Mob Rule, The Mist and Captain Cold.

Let me know if they pull an Arrow and change everything. If it's really silver age and awesome I'll jump in. But I'm almost too afraid to after the fake canary/AA crap.

There's some changes, as you'd expect. You don't want them to repeat the same stories over and over again, right? Still, it's very true to the comics and it's very good. You should judge it for yourself.

Changing some things I can deal with. Changing everything (including core stuff) is a major problem. Might as well make it an original show at that point just to be honest ad avoid false advertising.
If this were batman or superman I'd agree with the same story, but this is flash and GA. Via TV show these stories have never been told, how is it being told "again"?
But if it's honoring the comics and the soul of the world, I might. When I get a spare 90 seconds free from work.

I meant retelling the stories from the comics. I know I personally don't want to watch the same things I've read a thousand times. Book adaptations tend to be an exception, but even then...
Plus, not all comic plots/stories/ideas translate well to the big or small screen. I will admit Arrow wasn't really a Green Arrow show. I think it's slowly becoming one--extremely slow, mind you--but as I've said before, I enjoy it.
Flash absolutely honors the comics through and through. Barry Allen is very Barry Allen, if a bit modernized (which basically means he's a little less Superman and a little more Clark Kent).

Ya, we're getting Wildcat(finally), and loosing Sara at the end of season 3. Might be hope yet. Honestly, with full time school I don't have time to watch tv much right now anyway. If they were going to have slow seasons now would be the best time. Maybe next year, when I'm not so overwhelmed it'll be better viewing anyway.
But I could use some Barry Allen. Corny, hopeful and awesome. I'll try to find the time. Thanks for the heads up.

I loved it, it was fun, I really haven't read anything with Barry in it but I liked him her, and there were a couple hooks that I look forward to seeing payed off.

Episode 2 was incredible! Holy crap, I think they stepped it up! Didn't expect that so soon.
HOWEVER, there were some huge logical fallacies. Iris should have noticed Barry running super fast in the first Stagg scene (just as she should have noticed Barry in the Pilot when he first met Mardon). Not remembering the other ones (there were two more) off the top of my head, but they were there. Still, great fun, Iris was less ditzy (Reporting too!), the ending was a 'holy shit' moment, Barry and Joe have great chemistry, and the flashbacks were much more bearable this time around. The villain was also not only more developed, but in my opinion had a cooler, better done display of power. Forgot to mention how funny it was too! Not even close to as forced as much of Agents of SHIELD's first season's humor was.
Next week's episode looks sick! I can't wait for more!
8.5/10 only because I expect it to get better! Definitely gonna be my favorite comic book show on TV.
EDIT: In that last bit, I meant my rating would have been higher, but I expect the show to get EVEN better so I'm leaving the 8.5+ ratings for later.

Anyone else think Joe's not long for this world? I love his character which makes me hate to say it, but it's a very Arrow move (this is by the people who do Arrow) and it frankly would give more weight when Barry inevitably meets Wally later and acts as a big brother/father-figure for the boy. I could definitely see that being the reason Barry looks out for the kid beyond his own goodness and drive to help Iris. He might see some of Joe in Wally, or just want to care for Wally like Joe did for him. Maybe all of the above.

So I have no idea how close to the comics he was but Cold was amazing, this was one of the best episodes any live action superhero show has had and just cemented in my mind that Flash will become better than Arrow very quickly if it keep it up.

As far as I'm concerned it already is better then Arrow.
Don't get me wrong, Arrow it getting better, but it's always smacked of false advertising. It changes freakin' everything.
Flash, on the otherhand, is telling a really good story that happens to be the one (and this is the shocking part) that the fans actually showed up for. It's a radical concept to be sure.
Arrow is morphing into a more authentic story, but alot of real damage has been done. Only so much of that can really be fixed. But flash? Freakin' awesome.

Well that was amazing, everything about this episode was great, to the point where I'm not sure how tomorrow's Arrow will be able to top it. I loved that the tonal differences were directly addressed, the fight scene was just perfect, and even the stuff with Eddie at least will hopefully lead to interesting things from him.
Oh and I think that ending confirmed Connor Hawke exists, which we mostly worked out last season but it's good to get confirmation.

The Reverse Flash is coming. This is the most anticipated episode for me. Even more than the crossover between Flash & Arrow

They should have an episode where Modern Flash teams up with 90's Flash. With one of the jokes being that he looks like Barry's dad.
Shame on anyone who doesn't understand what I am talking about.

Make it the next crossover episode and have Justin Hartley appear as Green Arrow too.

Well he can, but he also played Ollie on Smallville and I'm not sure anyone really wants to be reminded of that trainwreck of a show during Flash.
