Thanks for reviewing! I'm glad you liked it!
I'm actually going to update the secret files again now. Give me thirty minutes and you'll have all the remaining people updated.
I'll put up villains in the coming days, and pics soon after.

#3 is up, and I've gotta say I'm really enjoying writing the title. Even with this issue--a relatively slow one--it's awesome!
For those curious, and because I said I'd explain it but never have, I handle the Nightwing/'Haven segments, while Adrini is writing the Babs/Star City/GCPD segments. She'll write more in the future.
SPOILERS!! Highlight the next segment if you want to read it.
Damian is incredibly fun to write! I can't wait for you guys to see more of him!

Updated the secret files a bit near the end. Just a list of team members past and present for a few organizations. Tell me if I missed anyone.

This is probably my favorite issue so far. Every character involved held my interest and nothing was boring. Nightwing got a wee bit crybaby spoiled brat-ish for a moment there but Damien solved that problem quick. I think that this is also the first issue I actually enjoyed the red hoods storyline. Both authors work and write well enough that the transition from character to character is seamless. I can't tell who is writing who. Very good synchronization. This is still my favorite book and this issue showed why. Mystery, Murder, Superheroes, and the fucked upness of the Bat-family.
I will say that you need more Batman now. Actually, I need more Batman now.
Great job you two! Keep it up.

Thanks! There's more Batman in the future, but first we've got a two-part Nightwing-focused arc that I think you'll love!
Which reminds me....I need to make a teaser for that.

Another really strong issue, these different threads are really starting to come together into something special.
One of the most impressive things about this is the way you guys fit your writing together pretty seamlessly. A lot of times when people collaborate, especially when both people are writing scenes in the same issue, it tends to stand out and can be a bit distracting. That wasn't the case here.
There was a lot of really strong interaction in this issue, the people behind the costumes and codenames always shine through in both your work, and here was no exception. I absolutely loved the Riddler/Tim/Cass interaction as the highlight of the issue for me, All three play off each other well, and you couldn't find a better or more inspired contrast than the needlessly verbose Riddler and linguistically efficient Cass. I'm really hoping we'll see more of them together in the future.
You've been able to advance multiple plotlines in an efficient way, the Red Hoods vs Black Masks should be an epic clash when it finally does come through, and you're able to introduce two potentially important characters in Damien and Dent. Especially with the backing of the Star City crew, one almost can hope Harvey can avoid the hideous downfall that always seems to befall him. Probably not, but given the interesting spin you've both put on virtually everyone here, I can't rule out anything.
This one keeps getting better and seems poised to blow up in a big way. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you liked the Riddler/Tim/Cass interaction. There's certainly more to come of that. And oh boy, will everything blow up! I like to say that Knights is structured like the original Star Wars trilogy, only with a Batman twist. The Batman twist, of course, is that things don't get better before they get worse. They get worse, and worse, and worse until....well, we'll see if we decide to leave you with a happy ending.

There was a lot going on in this issue so I know I won't hit on all of it but damn this was a good issue. Seeing Damien and Dick team up was a fun moment and really seeing Nightwing talking in the beginning was great. His seriousness yet goofy funloving personality is such a great contrast to Batman. The argument between Alfred and Ra's was fun too. I will say this though, the part with Batman figuring out Ra's being scared really killed the scene for me. Everything was fine and the dialog he used was fine but in my head it just played out like Adam West Batman when he was listing why Ra's brought Damien to him. Really killed the whole thing. Also Ra's leaving by swimming down the stream was the most awkward exits ever. I laughed from how strange it was.
The Red Hoods storyline wasn't anything horrible. Short and to the point. A battle is coming for Harper. The Harvey side of the story is picking up. I know it will be good but it takes time to establish his part so it's cool. I really was sad to not see any of the Riddler in this issue. I really am interested to see how he works as a good guy hero.
The ending was awesome. Deathstroke vs Nightwing and Robin or RedBird! I'm ready for that fight.
Overall this issue was another great piece of the puzzle known as Ultimate Knights. It can be frustrating when reading because you really want the climax of the story to hit, get to the good stuff, but I realized that holy hell you both have a ton of characters to write through. This is one large cast and each of their stories are important to the whole. I don't envy you for picking something this grand.
Lastly, more Batman.
Great job keep it up.

Thanks for the quick review!
Can you expound on how Batman sounded like Adam West? I want to fix that in the future.
Damian won't be Redbird. That's Tim's role. As for Robin....well, let's see just how Damian develops.
Honestly, Batman doesn't become a main character till the end of Act 1. Dick's definitely the protagonist of Act 1. Act 2's probably Tim, and Act 3's is Bruce and someone I don't want to spoil for plot's sake. Of course, Babs is there telling her own unique and intertwined story at the same time, so in a way she's always the protagonist.

Here is the dialog that sounded like Adam West:
“Talia was murdered, wasn’t she?” Bruce said. Ra’s nodded. “Your body language is giving you away, Ra’s. You’re terrified of someone…or something. The League’s being systematically dismantled. That would explain the recent rise in terrorist activity throughout the world. Moreover, you think someone has a personal vendetta against you. They’re hitting close to home, perhaps? Every strike, a location of something or someone important to you. In Saudi Arabia, a small town—and with it, a small base of operations for the League—was destroyed. Seemingly insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but not to you. That town was the place of your birth.”
I read this in my head like Adam West or an exaggerated William Shatner. It's very stop and go sounding. (At least in my head) The information needed to be conveyed to the reader but maybe it could have been worded differently or something. Everything else that Batman said was fine but this paragraph here just felt different.

This is another great, strong issue. Sorry for taking so long to comment on it, I'm just coming out of a medicated fugue over the last week or so and I don't know that I could have put lucid thoughts together until now.
The story is really marching along in a number of exciting directions.
I admit, Damien has never been a character I've enjoyed, but you're doing a good job of warming me up to him. One great thing about his addition is that he seems to have already tempered some of Dick's tendency to whinge on a bit more than I care for. Their banter is great and it seems to do really well for both their characters that they can snark and snipe at one another, and it seems to elevate them both.
Batman and Ra's interaction was one of the big highlights of the issue. It's nice to see a strong presence for Bruce here and I thought the scene worked well. It showed him smart and calculating, a big hallmark of the modern Batman, but without coming off as forced. It's a perfectly logical series of patterns he pieces through, something that many writers tend to forget about doing – but your Batman is a detective, and in more than just name only.
Harvey Dent seems to have a great deal of potential here and this issue spends a good deal of time building him up. I'm hoping we'll start to see that pay off sooner rather than later. He's firmly established and it will be great to see him start doing and capitalizing on all the promise. The showdown with Gordon was really telling, and I think says a lot about the problems the two cities are actually facing when even people who should be natural allies have to be wary of one another.
From top to bottom, the sense that the heat is on full blast and the pot is not only boiling, but threatening to boil over pervades this issue. The next few should be very exciting indeed. Can't wait.

So I apparently didn't review issue 1 when I first read but I remember liking it.
Issue 2: I liked Gordon letting Dick know Batman needed them, didn't really like Bab's new costume or Gordon not knowing his own daughter was standing right in front of him. Maybe I'd change my mind if I saw it but it my head her costume looks terrible, and Gordon's supposed to be a great detective, is a cowl really supposed to stop him working it out.
I'm not sure how I feel about Babs taking lessons from Dinah, mostly because I have a lot of trouble believing that Gordon wouldn't have made her take a bunch of self defence courses because they're in Gotham.
Issue 3: I could say a bunch of things about this issue but mostly I care about Damian, I love that asshole way more than I should and I look forward to his interactions with everyone.

Thanks for reviewing! Not much to say on the costume front. It's what we went with and it would absolutely disguise her. Can't speak for Babs being trained by Dinah. Glad you liked it! There's a helluva lot more to come!

Dinah didn't train her, she acted as more of a body guard. That way if they were caught fighting she would get in trouble instead of Babs. As she was likely to move soon anyway it was the better trade off.
