Hey, it's Gambit898. I don't know if some of you remember me, but I posted a lot here and on CAGN ages ago, and even use to mod this for awhile.
I'm very impressed! Maybe I'll write some stuff too if it's cool and I can get around to it. What's the history behind reviving it and who still posts here from yesteryear?
Hope everything's going great, and I hope this doesn't die and keeps going strong.

Hey Gambit!
I came a little late to the party but managed to snag Superman. Not sure how this all got restarted.

One day some dudes were bored and decided to start writing fan fiction again. Thus, we were reborn.

That's cool! Who's who of the returning members? Some of you have cool new names so I can't match the faces.
And after looking over the rules/claims, these are some titles I might be interested in. I just kind of want to write one, so which do you guys find more interesting?
-Ultimate Doom Patrol: I didn't see any of the team claimed except Robotman (I think the right one) but I could just sub in someone different and if the teams already been in another title I could just look elsewhere. I'd want to set around the 60's and give it a Johnny Quest feel.
-Ultimate Western: Spaghetti westerns are the best, so getting to write some Jonah Hex, Scalphunter or Bat Lash tales centered around cattle rustling and frontier justice would be pretty nifty. Of course, would be set a long time back, round late 19th century.
-Ultimate Noir: I tried doing this back on the old DCU right before it died. Basically, a bunch of random detective stories presented in a dimestore pulp novel kind of way, set against the backdrop of the 1930-40's, featuring crime fighters of yesteryear like The Spirit or Slam Bradley.
Thanks, fellas.

Yeah, I pretty much dropped comics entirely when the old sites died. I was kind of burning out on the whole thing as I was reading pretty much all the events and tie-in minis as well as 10-12 of the main books.
This Spring I got back into comics by going back and reading Morrison's Batman, so I decided to give this site a try. While it's pretty dead when it comes to the flow of traffic, we've gotten a pretty good core group of writers.
Ryan (Ryn2o01), TheKillingJoke, Darthphere, and Stardrifter are all carryovers from the old site. Couldn't tell you what anyone wrote. But I was young and eager back then, so I was constantly picking up and dropping titles. I don't think I was especially successful at the site you were a part of. I did have a relatively lengthy run on X-Men at Ultimate Marvel.

Oh and as for the title, whatever you feel more comfortable with writing. Jonah Hex is the area that's probably least covered in the rest of our titles, but really it's up to you!

I think you should do something completely different. Ultimate Wonder Twins! Activate!
