I hadn't really put much thought into the currency system for this future. I think the dome cities would probably still have agold and silver backed economy though which means that if one was to travel to the cities gold and silver would be the top form of currency and Jonah knows if he wants out of the bounty hunting game he has to have the gold to back it up.

I really liked that finally it seems like the series is set ahead. It has a very Mad Max/Judge Dredd type deal going. I loved that Jonah basically gets asked to kill "Swamp Thing" it seems in the future. Its a good long term plot I feel. My one knock is... I wish we had seen Jonah travel across the plains and try to survive the undead before arriving. I felt it was a bit rushed on getting him to the finale.

I could definitely agree with that though further on in the series you will see plenty of battles on the plains. I really wanted to set the series on the right tracks and that was what this issue was really about.

I have to say, I went into this title a little unknowing.
Well, not so much unknowing actually, as Buck PM'd me ages ago about something, but, I honestly had this preconception (daft, I know) that the world presented in Hex was going to be a Western. Imagine my surprise when it was a Post-Apocalyptic future?
I like world building, so the little details in here, especially about the environment are cool. Even the throw away comments all add up to build a big picture of what's happened to the world, and I can't wait to see that explored further.
As a result of the afore mentioned PM, I know a little tiny snippet of detail as to what is coming, and I have to say...I couldn't be more excited about it! So, excellent issues so far, and I can't wait to see what's coming!

It's been pretty fun start to the series and we've got more to come. Me and jack have very big plans for the title and we can't wait to get them out there. Thanks for the kind words bkole.

I liked the #5 best of all. Because we get more detail in the Wastelands and how people view them as being below. I also liked the whole scene of the train robbery being in the future . It was a great nod to the past there. Also I liked the nod to Wonder Woman at the end. Nice.

Land of the Lost is up featuring a new threat in the Wastelands and is Jonah Hex really turning over a new leaf?

Just finished the first issue, I love the concept of it being set in the future and hope other titles set during the same time period will be written

#7 up. Bit of a Walking-Dead Zombie thing, with some Native Americans thrown in.
Hope you enjoy!

The two scenes being switched between frequently helped break up the story and despite the length make it easy to read. Very well written issue.
