As fan fic writers, I think we all have millions of ideas running through our heads. You ever felt like there's some greater force that steals your idea and gives it to someone else? It's happened to me a million times when I'm watching tv, reading a comic, watching a movie trailer. I'll sit there and watch and would be like "I had the same idea years ago!" So do any of you have that experience as well?
For example, I was watching the Smallville finale and the very last scene is how I told people that I would end the series. It's exactly the same scene I described to people. Granted it wasn't very original but come on!
I also had an idea for a short movie called First Date which was just going to chronicle a couple's first date, Daniel Clowes released a GN called Mister Wonderful with pretty much the same concept.

What was the ending of Smallville? I've been trying to find it everywhere, but for some reason I can't find a concise answer. I kind of stopped watching Smallville five seasons ago. The whole Clark/Lana/Lex love triangle just got boring to me. That said, I think Erica Durance was a fantastic Lois.

Okay. That was nice. For some reason that John Williams theme instantly gives me chills whenever I hear it. However, I only wish that it had come 3 or 4 years ago.

Anywho, to the question at hand, I agree with Darth on the Smallville ending. That's how I imagined it/hoped it would turn out years ago.
I kind of had this experience with Heroes with the end of the 4th Season. I was hoping that they'd do something like that at some point. Unfortunately it won't be realized. And knowing them, it probably would have been poorly realized anyways.
