First issue is up! After about five or so different ideas on what to do with Odd man I'm finally finished. This first arc is written in the style of the Sherlock Holmes stories and hopefully I've done a good job, if anyone has read them let me know if you think it's similiar.
I'm hoping this is the kind of series that any writer here who wants to do a detective story can have a bash at and with some aspects being introduced in further issues I think it'll be a possiblty for a writer to have Odd Man as the sort of detective they want.
Anyway enjoy!

It was pretty interesting. I never heard of the Odd Man or characters your using here. So it seemed pretty new to me.

Finally got time to read it. Very nice, really does have a Sherlock Holmes feel to it, and I like the fact it's from the assistant's point of view. Interested to see how the case is solved. Keep it up.

Sherlock Holmes was my first impression. If memory serves: your story is a re-imagining of, 'The Sign Of Four', or am I wrong?
It's been months since I've read my Sherlock Holmes collection.

Unfortunately it's not sign of four. It's just your normal sealed room murder with a magical twist to it. After reading your post though I'm wishing that I had just used a Holmes case, since it would've been easier than thinking up an elaborate way to murder someone. Which was by far the hardest part of coming up with this story.

He and Spock were two of my earliest fictional heroes (although I discovered Holmes through Star Trek: TNG). My most recent purchase actually was the complete collection of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Holmes work. Keep it up, man!

Very Holmesian indeed. I am a huge fan of Sherlock and enjoy this immensely because of that fact. Keep up the good work.

Issue two is up, really short issue but work has been pretty hectic this month. Originally this would have been part of issue five but since I knew it would be a short issue this seemed better to do.
And cheers for all the compliments.

Nice. It feels abit short- like you said, and I look forward to getting into a bigger story.
Also, it wasn't a bad reveal but it felt like it might have had more impact later on.
Anyway, I'm liking your characters- they both have charm.

I don't know whether what you put up is part of a bigger piece. Obviously it's short. I want to get into the action and the mystery. It's well written, I like the first person angle which is fairly unique for the site. Anyway, write more.

Cheers Jack but unfortunatly the case shall remain a mystery as I've decided to drop Odd Man due to work.
