The two Hawkmen stared at each as ambulances and police sirens screamed in the background. People snapped pictures at this sight and kept away from the fight. Finally the other Hawkman set Sheira down slowly and stared.
"You will swear allegiance to Thanagar." he commanded.
"I have no clue what Thanagar is. But you’re in my city and you need to go." Carter growled.
"Come at me Hawkling; make me leave your city!" Golden Eagle yelled challenging him.
Carter started twirling the mace in his hand. The sleeve from the handle allowed him to twirl it at a fast rate and with a hard throw he released it at Golden Eagle, "With pleasure!"
The mace slammed into Golden Eagle knocking him into some cars as people watched this. Carter for a second stood there and tried to not make eye contact with Shiera who starred in awe at this masked Hawkman.
"Hawkling, it’s not that easy ..." Char said getting to his feet picking up a car.
How the hell? How is he able to pick up a car?
The car was tossed as Carter had no way to move in time. It slammed into him, knocking him backwards in some pain. The people screamed and ran as the big figure laughed. Carter worked his way free and kicked the door to get out.
Golden Eagle again made a move towards Shiera, as Carter used his strength to rip off the demolished car door. He then flew and smashed into the big figure like a football tackle. Knocking him sideways into the pavement.
"No...clue what you want here." Carter said walking up slowly. He picked up his mace along the way.
"My mission will not be stopped by some Hawkling; I will make you swear allegiance to Thanagar!" Golden Eagle growled charging him, flying into the air.
Both men hit and kicked at each other flying so fast. Golden Eagle used his leverage and managed to send a battered Carter slamming into a gas tanker. The guy in the truck took off running as sparks started to fly.

St. Roche, at the scene of the diner.
Lt. Hardrow walked onto the scene of the first battle ground. The EMT's and others were around. A couple of his men walked up and tried telling him at the same time what was happening as he walked through the scene.
"Ok what the hell is going on here? One of you." he said.
"Lieutenant all the witnesses are saying that there is a second Hawkman, and the first one is fighting him." one answered.
"Where the hell are they now?" he asked as a large explosion a few blocks away echoed through the city.
“I’ll give you one guess sir.” The man replies dryly.
"We have to try and end this. They will destroy the city in record time if we don't..." Hardrow commanded.

At the scene of the explosion
Golden Eagle felt the intense heat and blast in the air. He stared and thought he finally had vanquished the Hawkling that had showed up. So he dropped to a knee and removed his mask.
"Your soul of a warrior is true Hawkling. You went the way we all wish, on the field of combat." Golden Eagle said saluting the fallen one.
"Before you speak at my eulogy, I'm not dead yet ..." growled Carter emerging from the fire. His back and arms bleeding some.
Golden Eagle put his helmet back on and smiled, "This is good a great battle."
He's insane and powerful. I have to try and figure a way to beat him. The metal he's using is amping his strength and body like mine does.
Golden Eagle reached and slowly pulled the sword out as he smiled and charged forward. Carter grabbed the mace and used it to keep each sword strike as sparks flew. Carter worked his way in and delivered a powerful blow to the man’s stomach.
No way we can keep pounding each other like this. He's bleeding, I'm bleeding. Yet this nutcase loves it. I got to get the metal off him and see if it weakens him like it does me.
