I sterling gates wasn't on Hawk and Dove I'd be dropping it. Stormwatch was an interesting read.

I got them all, still haven't read Static or Stormwatch, but out of all them Animal Man, Action were the best of the bunch. I agree Arrow was a bit disappointing, I just can't get into Jurgens art for some reason. Detective surprised the hell out of me, especially the last page.

This week was solid none of the five I picked up were even close to being disappointing.
Frankenstein and Demon Knights both look like solid books that will end up cancelled well before their respective times because they won't find a solid audience.
Batman and Robin seems to be setting up a new different dynamic between Bruce andDamien compared to any other Robin in the past.
Green Lantern was pretty good even though DC really fell short ofmaking that accessible to new readers.
Mister Terrific was good stuff as well and got to love Power Girl showing up in it.

This week was kind of a let down compared to last week. I mean, Action, Swamp and Animal Man were destined to be hits from the get go and I was a bit surprised how good JLI, Batwing and Detective Comics were.
This week, I wasn't really digging Batman and Robin. Bruce and Damien seemed to be talking more or less in quotes rather than actually talking. Damien seemed relatively in character, which was one of my concerns going in, so that's good.
I don't like Geoff Johns. Looking back, the only book I liked him on for more than an arc without a co-writer is The Flash. JSA too, but for half of his run he had David Goyer, so by the time he was his to write himself, the groundwork was already done. His Green Lantern doesn't interest me at all and I have to say, his Hal is quite possibly one of the worst written characters in comics right now. He's not even a character any more he's a Han Solo caricature. I did like all of the Sinestro scenes, although for some reason I was reading it in the voice of the guy who plays Voldemort in the Harry Potter Musical, which was... distracting...
Mr. Terrific was passable. It was hurt a lot in my eyes by the nature of the reboot, which seems to be extremely non-committed and then with talk of the JSA being on Earth-2, I'm not sure who this character is. It's the complete opposite of Green Lantern in terms of this. Very accessible for new readers, but an old reader like me was left confused, which ruined the overall book for me. But I will say, reading it from that perspective, it was pretty good.
Batwoman was good, but I felt it was hurt by the overhype that it had to deal with. J.H. Williams III is one of the best artists in comics. Hands down, no question. But his writing was relatively clunky, which can be expected for a new writer, but people are treating it like God's gift to comics in both writing at art. That is not the case. Again, good. A lot better than most artist turned writer stuff, but still it was just good.
As for Frankenstein and Demon Knights, I loved both. The Dark line is really where I see my future at DC. If comics were a little bit cheaper and I had more of a fixed income, I'd be getting all of the dark comics. Come October, I will not be reading as much. So, unfortunately, I'm going to have to make sacrifices, especially when I know Shade, JSA and the finale to Morrison's Batman are coming...

Action Comics, Frankenstein, Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Demon Knights, and Deathstroke have all been great.
Mr. Terrific wasn't bad. It had a couple points which weren't good, but I liked it overall. I'm at least interested enough to read another issue.
Detective Comics I thought was terrible. Tony Daniel needs to work with a writer.
