Just had a thought that is kind of important. FoxMulder, as you are the "Editor" of this project I'll ask you How are world cities/countries/geography to be handled? Are we going to use only real-world cities such as Chicago/LA/New York/St. Louis/Philadelphia/Seattle, use only their fictional counterparts of Metropolis/Pacific City/Gotham City/Gateway City/Keystone City/Emerald City, or use both?
I've already used the real-world town of Taos, New Mexico, but if you are going for something else, then I'm totally cool changing it to better fit the guidelines.
If both real-world and fictional cities are used, do we have a definite place for the fictional ones, or are they just "out there somewhere?"

I plan on sticking with Star City for Green Arrow. Star City in my fic is a Pacific Northwest town. Like in Twilight.

I'm pretty much sticking to how it is in the traditional DC Universe for Keystone City and Central City. They're right on the border of Kansas and Missouri with Keystone being in Kansas and Central being in Missouri. I'm probably going to keep the flavor of the towns alive to a degree. My goal is to make them similar to Minneapolis and St. Paul with Minneapolis being more artistic and more "alternative" while St. Paul is more working class kind of thing.
As far as I'm concerned, you set your characters where you want to set them and flavor the town how you want to. The only condition is that if you wipe a city off the map, please tell the board. I'd hate to have Chicago be blown up in fic, not know about it and have Barry Allen go have lunch with Barack Obama in the Sears Tower (Though I do plan on reading every fic that goes up).

If anyone has art skills, maybe we could draw a map of the Ultimate DC Universe and have our placement of cities in relation to real life cities.

Came across this on iFanboy today. Metropolis is in Delaware. Gotham City is in New Jersey. Figured it might be of some use.

I know some people such as Darthphere are moving their city a bit, but this is a very good diagram.
Opal City, where I'm setting Starman isn't here, but it's dew South of Baltimore by about 100 miles and about 70 miles south east of Washington D.C. It's right at the mouth of the Potomac River where it meets the Chesapeake Bay.

Yeah I can still use that as a reference since Star City will be on the coast, just a little further up north in Washington state.

Taking a look at this, can I just say that Dakota is some small portion of Detroit?
