I have to admit they finally broke me, I actually cancelled the network after Survivor Series (literally days before they added all the classic stuff I'd actually have watched) and haven't watched anything since. I can't even watch NXT anymore - why get invested in these guys just to watch them be habitually misused. I am tempted to sign up again, just for the Rumble, but I'll probably just download it afterward if anything interesting happens.
I am glad to see Sting going into the Hall of Fame though. Hearing rumors of Vader too, which would be nice.

Yes, I am so excited for that show, even if I forgot Wikipedia doesn't care about spoilers so I know a bunch of what happens with the championships.

I've been steering clear from all things spoilers so far.

Was dumb enough to reup to see the Rumble. Would have been a better use of my money to go to Sears, buy a hammer and slam it repeatedly into my head until the inevitable concussion kicked in. Probably still could have booked a better show in that state than they did.

I thought that besides the ending, which unfortunately makes sense based on the story that's being told, it was really good. Then again it sets up Sasha/Charlotte for WM so even if the rest was horseshit I'd have loved it.

Anything that gets the Boss some screen time is awesome in my book, but the way they totally jobbed out Becky Lynch to do so, after spending these last few weeks building Lynch up? It's gone beyond shooting themselves in the foot, at this point they're using a howitzer.
I don't get putting the belt on Trips - this could easily have been a non-title match and still co-main evented Wrestlemania (not that I care anything about this Authority vs. Roman Reigns feud in the first place). I just hate how telegraphed it was. When the final four was Reigns, Hunter, Ambrose and Shameus, you knew it was going to Triple H. Reigns wasn't winning, too much of the storyline had been devoted to it, and they let him have his powerhouse moments, while also getting to be the guy who shook off a brutal League of Nations attack. They weren't putting it back on Shameus after the ratings tanked that badly, and Ambrose had retained the IC, so you knew he wasn't getting it - it was too obvious.
I see little point in Bray Wyatt vs. Brock Lesnar. It's another feud I can't even pretend he'll win. It'll be months of cryptic promos aimed at a guy who isn't going to show up until maybe the week before Mania, Wyatt will get jobbed out, and then the next week he'll show up and do cryptic promos at someone else until he loses at the next PPV. Rinse and repeat.
Do like the idea of Ambrose and Jericho, I think they'll do solid, and while I'd rather Lynch/Banks, I can do with Charlotte/Banks. Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles could be exciting too.

I don't think they jobbed out Becky, she put up a great effort and almost won before Ric got involved. Plus going by the results from Raw it looks like they're setting up a triple threat between them probably at Fastlane.
Putting the belt on Trips is a business decision, the ratings for Raw are terrible, and have been for a while, WWE will get a bunch of promotion around Wrestlemaina and with the idea is that people will recognise Triple H and watch Wrestlemania because of it. Now if they were smart they'd have the undercard consist of their best up and comers to entice those people into continuing to watch but we'll have to see if that's what happens.

I'm not so much talking about being jobbed in the match, but in the aftermath. Banks more or less dispatched her and the post-match focus was entirely on Banks vs. Charlotte. Like I said, I love Sasha, but Becky loses the match thanks to Ric Flair's cheating and it's SASHA that pulls her finisher on the unexpecting Charlotte, post match? Should have been Becky, who was otherwise left looking like a chump. Let Becky get some measure of revenge, let the audience know that "any given Sunday" Becky has a chance - especially when Ric can't save Charlotte, and then have Sasha hit the ring to set up either a three way dance, or the promise of a number one contenders match between Sasha and Becky at Fastlane.
I guess you and I just see Triple H's relative popularity differently. I don't see Trips spiking the ratings as a champion. I mean, to cite an equally pointless booking decision from a few years ago - at least giving the Rock the title had the chance of bringing some mainstream audience to RAW, I don't see how Hunter having the title does anything to move the needle. It's not like he's been gone that long, a couple months ago, he was using up at least a half hour of each RAW in dumb backstage skits.
But as you point out, we'll have to see. After all, it's not like I know anything, I once booked a year of WWE in a simulation game with Zack Ryder as WWE champion, so I may not be the best judge.

I'm personally not fond of having the face beat up the heel after a loss cliche, Becky can get her own back in the ring.
I'm on the same page as you when it comes to Trips, but I don't think WWE creative, especially one man in particular, are. It's just another example of how WWE just doesn't get that it needs to let the new kids grow into the stars that Triple H, The Rock, Jericho and all those guys were rather than just relying on nostalgia.

So Lucha Underground season 2 started tonight, and it was awesome, I'm not going to spoil anything but if you like wrestling, you should make sure you check this show out. It is easily some of the best wrestling you'll ever see. This episode alone had 3 moments that made me fist pump.

Lucha Underground makes me care about the story like no other promotion can. Mil Muertes being in control of the Temple has me hooked hard. Love it

Say I opened a wrestling promotion and you're in it.
What's your wrestling name and what's your finishing move?

Hmmm... good question. Going all the way back to WCW/NWO on the N64, I always had a created character "Brock Thunder", so I assume that would probably be my wrestling name. As for finisher, depending on the game, it's either been a Bubba Ray Dudley style sit-out powerbomb, or a DDP style Diamond Cutter off the top turnbuckle. Either version was called the "Thunderclap"

So in 24 hours WWE went from putting on a PPV that many were disappointed in, to a Raw with one of the biggest shocks in years that's got people actually excited for a Wrestlemania with Triple H VS Roman as a main event.
