Yeah....let's move on, shall we? Two sides that aren't going to agree, so it's beneficial for everyone if we move on to "Yay! Babs and Dick in a show!"

10 bucks says Starfire ruins it, or makes it some cheap triangle.

Pretty sure in the comics Dick spent more real time with Starfire than Babs. I like Babs better than Kory, but I think more people know that relationship than with Babs.
What I'm wondering is if they're going to skew closer to comic Kory or cartoon Kory.

If they go with comic version, I would prefer Pre-52.
If cartoon, original Teen Titans not Teen Titans Go. If only because I really don't like that cartoon.

I love what I've seen of Teen a Titans Go but there's no way a show that wants to be taken seriously at all can borrow characterisation from it.

My issue with Starfire is her character - or lack there of. Aside from a kid show, where she was done very well BTW, she seems like little more then a walking excuse for nerd boner. Like the boob window on steroids.
I'm not going to lie, as a female fan that's a pretty blatant insult.
If they can make her more, good on them and I will give full credit. I just don't see it.
Babs I admit I do prefer. She has a marked personality. She's interesting and multifaceted and nuanced. Tons of awesome story lines and great things to lead to. Admittedly some of my favorite.
But I am, really, really sick of love triangles. Like really sick. Completely over them.

To be fair, that's poorly-written-Starfire, who does admittedly appear in more than just New52. There's also well-written Starfire who appears in the cartoon and some of the comics I'm told.
I would have less of a problem with a love triangle, as since Grayson has been with both characters, it's more like a Clark-Lois-Lana then some other shows which introduce a romantic third for no other reason than a gratuitous love triangle.
Either way, she should definitely have the ginormous hair that makes 80's models jealous.

Since love triangles are one of the oldest tropes in fiction, I don't think you'll ever avoid them all.

Yes but since they are one of the oldest tropes they are also almost always incredibly boring, I have no stake in who Dick ends up with but I really hope it doesn't involve a love triangle.

It all depends on the execution. Here it could work because you really don't know who he would end up with. But say, a Clark/Lois/and X triangle doesn't work because you know he'll always end up with Lois.

Adding X's s the thing now. As a marred person I can assure you there are more then enough adventures in a stable relationship. But I guess shipping is the thing to do now.

Or they believe that stable relationships make characters boring.
Dan DiDio certainly thinks so.
Edit: Aka the guy who claims marriages shouldn't be allow in comics and has apparently been gunning for Superman's marriage to end since Infinite Crisis.

What surprises me about the hate on marriage is that so many of these creators ARE married. So they're essentially saying their lives are boring because they aren't swinging singles. Heck having kids has been a huge change in my life and could lead to tons of story ideas for comics.
But kids would age the heroes and turn them off to the "young" demographic that doesn't read comics anyway. Cuz when I was a kid I hated stories about people with kids.

I want to hug you right now. I thought I was the only one.
There was this online reviewer that was listing the the top worst moments in comics. #1 was the death of Lian.
