I remember during my first stint at Ultimate Marvel, I wrote an issue of Heroes for Hire with Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Black Knight, and Deadpool, and after it was posted Zeke said to me: "This isn't quite what we're looking for at Ultimate Marvel." Right then I dropped the title and moved away from fan fiction for a while because I knew it wasn't going to go well. Spent another year learning to be a better writer, mostly by reading a bunch of novels, and then I returned to write Ultimate Daredevil.
Anyway, my first issue of Batman is more or less already written, I'm just revising it to make it more readable and to properly capture my vision.

He was generally nice to me until the implosion. He was a strange character though, he did seem to like to be in charge just for the sake of being in charge. I kind of see where he's coming from. I do tend to take charge of a situation if the opportunity arrises. That just comes from knowing a lot of unreliable people in terms of school and my music... But yeah, I look forward to your Batman. I recall liking it over at the other site and this time you have three years more experience, so I'm sure it will be even better. I guarantee my first couple issues are going to read like term papers, so I'm going to apologize for that upfront.

I was going to wait until I had my first issue of Flash up, but I want to do some connection between the two in the second issue of Flash, so I'm going to stake the claim now.
Ultimate Justice Society Tagline: "Injustice Anywhere is a Threat to Justice Everywhere" Heroes: Sentinal (Alan Scott), Wildcat (Ted Grant), Robin (Tim Drake), Ravager (Rose Wilson), The Ray (Ray Terrell), Star Spangled Kid (Courtney Whitmore), Starman (Jack Knight), Jade, Hourman (Rick Tyler) Villains: Deathstroke, Obisidan, Johnny Sorrow, Roulette, Solomon Grundy, Despero Support: Rex Tyler, S.T.R.I.P.E.
I hate approving my own claims, but it's the only option I have right now. Would any of you be interested in being a second admin?

Okay, Jross, Green Lantern is so far from my area of expertise, so I'm going to make my best judgement.
I think it's fair to ask you to claim Kyle, John, and Guy at this point. If you're going to claim the entirety of the Green Lantern Corps, it's only fair that you use all of your spots for the main characters. Because really, what are other people going to write about when they claim them? That would put you at 17, which would make it a team book, which there is honestly no difference in. Also, I know that a lot of other characters are members of the Blue, White, Red, and Black Lantern Corps. I probably don't have to say this, but you won't be able to use them unless you claim them and I'd ask you to consider not claiming major characters to do that. This was a hard decision to articulate, but I think in the whole scheme of things, it makes the most sense.
If you're okay with all of that, then I have no problem approving this.

Oh, sorry, by "The Corps," I meant Kyle John and Guy, too. Although the plan is for them later. And yeah, I wouldn't use like the corpsmen who were taken from other comics.

Okay, then approved. I'll make your board and you can get started. I'll adjust your claims accordingly.

In the spirit of transparency, I am replacing Heat Wave with the Psycho Pirate. Thank you.

Sorry to come in again, but I'm going to take off Chyre and Morillo and claim Max Mercury and Johnny Quick. I won't be in Keystone City for the first arc, so I really don't need them. Not yet at least.

Kinda odd but I'm actually giving some thought about trying out Aquaman...or could be the alcohol talking.

Do it up. I stand by the fact that Aquaman could be the coolest DC character, but no one knows how to write him. The Sub Diego arc was pretty cool though.

I want to have a good idea for him, I'm actually have that arc some where, I just need to find it.

Weirdly I now have a longer outline for Aquaman then I do for Superman.

Not to be a negative Nancy, but maybe we should take it easy with claims. I don't think we can take on multiple titles and still maintain the quality of our writing. Not only that, but leaving titles up for grabs gives newcomers more of an incentive to stick around.

I see your point, but I will maintain the rule of two. I know a lot of people here are rather quick writers naturally and I know some are comfortable making weekly updates, so a second title shouldn't really hurt their writing (especially in my case when they'll be interconnected).
And to your point about people staying, I do agree to a certain extent, but if the people already here want to write two titles, I won't stop them.

I sort of agree with TKJ. Though I like the rule of two as well. I think the best way to do it is if you feel that way, claim a lesser known character and leave the big ones free.
