Great as always. Really like the team interaction. Jessie and Gordon's scene was tragic- well done. You've got a lot of stories and characters interweaving here- I look forward to seeing where it goes. That I do. Once I finish my backlog of BatB in the next few days, I'm gonna try to finish getting caught up with the various comics so I can weave them back into Spoilers. Good news is with the posting of Issue 6 (YAY!!! Under the Purple Hood is finally done!), I'm finally up to date with the times in other comics. 6 Happens about the same time as Flash 11 while JSA Legacy leads up to Spoilers 7 and somewhere near the middle/end of that issue. 6 turned out way longer than I expected. I got in the zone and it just kept flowing. But at least it has a lot of action and investigation instead of just the talking I've had in the past two issues. Last two profiles for the Spoilers and their first ally have been posted. Credit goes to Chris for having me change Gordon at the last minute. Originally I intended to use Karen Gillan. Next arc will be Boys & Toys introducing more of the male supporting cast and reveal who that guy Jade was looking for in Japan is.

I read most of it before and gave you my thoughts, so I'll just talk about the final scene.
Very well done. Not quite what I was expecting though. I was expecting it to be a bit more heartfelt and less menacing. You definitely set up several directions to go in when dealing with Courtney's family relations and I'm pumped for that. I hope this isn't the last we see of the pair of them.
Keep it up.

That, and Arthur did do some pretty bad things even if he had a good reason to do it.

Excellent issue man. The whole arc has kept me glued to my seat. Though you kind of did cheat and have Stephanie, one of my favorite characters, as the focal point. I love the team dynamic you've built up in this series and can't wait for more.

I love the team dynamic you've built up in this series and can't wait for more. Awww. That makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I'm happy to see this arc finally be over. With the origin out of the way, I can introduce the supporting cast and start to reveal the grander plot Arthur and Jason hint at involving Bludhaven. In other news, I have updated the Secret Files with Spoiler Costume Version 2 which will be used for at least the next two arcs (still not at the one used in Issue 0 just yet) and is the one you should be picturing in JSA Legacy. I've also included Red Hood (A). Beware of going into it with preconceptions. Might not be who you think it is. DUN DUN DUNALALALALALA

Good stuff, finally caught up- really good issue. The bamf-ing swapping Spoiler idea is genius. Steph and her Father's final scene was sad and very heartfelt. Love that you got Jason- can't wait to see wait you do with him. He is such a cool character (Esp. in Morrison's Batman and Robin arc). Whenever you say Gordon my mind automatically goes to her dad... The team dynamic is great, and like Buck said- Steph is my favourite too.

Feel kind of guilty for liking it so much. Steph definitely has my heart. Great integration of elements of other characters stories. Really great, keep it up. I'm trying, I'm trying. Issue 7 is up and for you Steph fans, I'm sorry. She doesn't have much page time. Blame Chris. First of the male supporting cast is introduced as well as the (or A) big bad of Bludhaven.

Nice, really dug it. What can I say? I'm in love with Beth. I always tend to like characters who have bad home lives and develop due to that. You really got the bitch you can sympathize with down to a t.
Let's see, I loved all of the other seeds you're setting up. I'm in an interesting place because I know a lot of what's going to happen, so it's cool seeing it unfold.
Great issue. Keep it up.

Don't know why. I mean, I hate her as a "person" but I suppose it's one of those "I love to hate her." And I love making you question her motives. Major update to the secret files. I'll be adding more to the Villains with issue 8 and may start adding some of Bludhaven's citizens as well.

Read before, but great. Poor Beth, she's tough but wow. I love how Steph's 'knowing' extends to her friends in understanding them. Roland Desmond seems like a creepy mo-fo.
Nightrunner? Yes, Nightrunner! (Though part of me wishes he was hangin' out with Crimson Fox in France)

We'll see Bilal soon enough as he's the guy who taught this Nightrunner. And he's still in France right now so he could enjoy Crimson Fox's company at any moment Oberonfrost wishes.

Just finished the first arc at lunch today. Great job on #1-6. The build up of the title and mythos is excellent, as are the character interactions. Coming into the title, the only character I had a fondness for was Babs, but I've come to enjoy the entire cast except Jason Todd-Neil Gaiman and George Perez could collaborate to create a 12 issue maxi-series featuring Jason Todd that revolutionizes the comic art form and I would still dislike the character-so that's not your fault.

Finally got round to reading some of this, just read issues zero and one, and it's nice to see Steph and Cass in a central role. Got to say I feel the overall style of your writing in this title is absolutely spot on and really helps in bringing the series to life.
Also liked the reference to Batman TAS series in the zero issue.

Got to say I feel the overall style of your writing in this title is absolutely spot on and really helps in bringing the series to life. Also liked the reference to Batman TAS series in the zero issue. Thank you. Back when TKJ had Batman, I too was inspired to think out of the box and what I came up with was a Batgirl's title. And now, have pretty much everyone to call themselves Batgirl not counting Goldstar or Harley. We didn't really have much in the way of female titles other than Zee and WW. And we didn't have any that focused on high school and the family life with that drama. So you have four girls, all with different backgrounds who come together to help solve the mystery of the Cluemaster. And if you like Cass, she has fantastic scene in 7 and she will be the sole focus of 10 & 11 (Two Bats, One Stone... it might even have the stone scene mentioned in 0). Also before you read 2, check out Henchmen United 1 on the limited board. That will help give you even more detail on the following issues.

And at long last, Spoilers 8 is up.
Another obvious clue reveal.
I seriously need to learn how to cut down on the length. This should be the last issue I do this long outside of special ones. I had a lot I needed to cover so I covered as much as I could fit logically into this one. Should mean the conclusion of Boys and Toys is shorter and gets to the fun stuff a lot quicker.
Thanks goes to MRP for helping in the outline.

Okay, definitely a very good issue and well worth the wait (Don't let it happen again... grrr ) Your character work is fantastic as per usual and does in many ways outshine the action and actual meat of the story. I'm not saying that it's not good, because it is, but your character work is the real pull of the title. You're one of the few writers at this site where I could read an issue where your characters just sit around and talk to each other and still feel like I got a fulfilling issue. I hope we see some more Spoilers more frequently coming up. It's always a joy to read.

While I knew what was coming since I had helped you block out the plot, it was fun to see how it was all executed in script. Great issue-I love the dialogue between Steph and the boys (Marv, Jason, and Gavin). You've taken a character I kind of was meh about in the DCU and quickly made her one of my favorites here on the site (but I don't think there is a chance in hell you can redeem Jason Todd in my eyes despite the fact you use him very well).
You got to feel sorry for Marv though...he needs to find some new friends! I think there have been quite a few comic reading video game playing guys who have been in his shoes before-just without the bow-tie to go with those shoes.
Looking forward to the next installment and like Miller said-don't wait so long next time!

Caught up with the last couple issues. A lot of good stuff. Your stories and characters are great. My one criticism(constructive I hope), is that for teenagers, your characters have a very formal and large vocabulary sometimes. I know many of them are super smart over achievers and such, but I feel like you could use some more "teen speak" as it were.
I agree the multiple Spoilers is a great idea. I hope to see it become something of a hindrance too, if one girl doesn't know what another did or said to people and such.
Keep 'em coming.
**EDIT**
Oh ya, I realized while catching up that you were doing crossovers with JSA and such, which I haven't read yet, and it was a bit confusing. It'd be awesome if we can all put a little blurb at the beginning of issues saying something like "Takes place before such and such" or "Read such and such first" etc. Might not be an issue when we're all caught up and reading things as they come out, but for someone new or someone playing catch up it would be a big help.
