I'm enjoying the series. Only read the first issue and the last, but I really enjoy Brave and the bold.

The latest issue is great I love the single character focus. Really learned more about Kaldur this issue then the rest of the series combined.

I really like your little chunk of our collective universe. I like seeing bits of Kord's corporate life. Like Buck said, the issue really gave us a good sense of Kaldur, which was great. Keep it up.

Yeah, I have to agree with Jack. I really dig Kaldur and obviously he's the big character this issue, so that's choice.
I'm also really liking Linda in this and I am definitely bringing parts of her character from here into The Flash.
Keep it up!

I do think it's pretty phenomenal that you can just get a random assortment of characters, let other dictate who they want to see and then tell a pretty damn good story based off those parameters. One of my favorite titles to read thus far.

Linda and Charles (or Vic if you haven't figured out who he is) are a big part of what tie the stand alone episodes together and set up the Circus of Strange arc and the reveal of the Crownless King (who may end up having a new title). And thank you dhoward, I just wish more people would vote. It really surprises me when I get a vote for characters that normally don't get them based on what happened in the issue. Mas y Menos wouldn't have their upcoming story points if not for the "fans" I noticed them having combined with the fact, being speedsters, they probably do get most of the generic points.
ATTENTION
Anybody feel like doing me a favor and counting all the current votes for me? It'd be greatly appreciated.

Just got around to sampling the zero issue this morning. Definitely got my attention and I need to find out who the Uncrowned King is.
So many series to catch up on and so little time to actually read, but this is on my list to catch up on soon.

And with issue 7, the first season of Brave and the Bold is over halfway over. I'll be making a topic about season 2: International sometime in next day or so. Should be fun.
It took 7 issues but you finally have Jaime's debut. Because of how amusing I have a scene involving him for 8, I may put Spoilers on the backburner so I don't interrupt the current flow. And for those of you paying attention, Charles is one step closer to becoming The Question we know and love. Just wait until you see his origin.
Next up is an issue starring Booster Gold, calling into question his relationship with Ted and the survivors of the planet Tamaran.
Edit: Cast Info has been updated with the new cast.

Good solid issue. Jaime first appearance was memorable and I can't wait to see what you have coming up for him.

Finally got caught up with the rest of the series, having just finished #7. Really like a lot of what you're doing here, but some of the characters haven't caught on with me yet (the twins in particular).
I did like the most recent issue quite a bit. I loved the nod with Charlton Bay. I will admit I never liked Jamie's Beetle until I saw him on Batman: Brave & the Bold, and the character has grown on me since, so it was cool to see his debut here.
Looking forward to reading more...

Not a huge Blue Beetle fan, but I like Ted Kord- or what I've seen of him. It's funny having read the Jamie cameo in JSA, to see him introduced here. I'm loving Booster, he's such a bro, I can't wait to see what you've got planned for him next issue. I love what you're doing with the RFG and the decks, though I'm not sure how clearly I should be following who's who within it, but it's great nether the less.
Needs more Batwoman... (just saying)
Good issue.

So I did BatB 8 instead of my late Spoilers since I just had to write that first scene and I didn't want to break my flow as I've been having a tad bit of trouble lately for my time and energy.
Booster's issue is up featuring Batwoman and Blue Beetle III. Sadly, no Mas y Menos or Cheshire this time around but just you wait, the 4 part series finale "The Circus of Strange" is up next. It was a fun issue. A bit heavy on the dialogue but it fits Booster oh so well.
Also... Lesbian action and a naked Starfire. Enjoy.
Please don't forget to vote for the issue and I don't mind if you go back to earlier issues and cast in your vote. In fact, it'll make me happy. We're getting to the final "episodes" of Season 1. You still have a chance to determine the winner.

I was a little late joining the party on BatB, but I am enjoying the heck of the series now. Hmmm, a time travel mystery tied to the Despero War and the opening of the Gates. The plot thickens. I really like Booster here, and if Vic turns up the RFG, I want to see a Booster moment like his intro to the DCU JL way back when. One note, with both Ted Kord and Ted Grant as main characters I get lost when a character is introduced as Teddy before we actually see the character act or 'hear' the character's dialogue to establish who they are as happened in the first scene. I thought it was Kord going to do a sales pitch until the coaster scene simply because Ted Kord is the money behind BatB even though it made sense for Teddy Grant/Wildcat to be the faceman in that situation. Just something to keep in mind as adding a surname in editing is an easy fix in future situations where similar names can cause reader confusion (or I can just read a little more attentively, ya know) All in all great issue and I look forward to #9. -M

Yeah. It is a bit difficult to keep track of which is why I tried to establish early on in the series that Wildcat is Teddy and Beetle II is Ted. And in the scene, I may have missed it once or twice, I tried to use Kord when possible to refer to Ted Kord. It also relied on people keeping track of issue 7 and 0 where Kord is mentioned as being in the hospital after Jaime saves him and until the Scarlet Scarab breaks loose. If you remember that then chances are he's not going to be pitching a job to the Reyes family a few days later.
But I understand the complaint and why I try to avoid the situation when possible by using codenames and surnames if it fits.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Vic turns up the RFG" and I have to admit that I don't know the Booster intro moment you're talking about.

Well Linda and Vic talk about BatB vs. the R(oyal) F(lush) G(ang), so if his interrogation is successful he may turn up the RFG.
Justice League #4 of the Giffen DeMatteis Justice League was Booster's intro to the team. The Royal Flush Gang had taken out the League (which consisted of Beetle, Martian Manhunter, Guy Gardner, Black Canary, Captain Marvel, and Batman) and Booster stood alone against them. I had sen Boost r before on covers of comics I never bought, but that moment was my real intro to Booster and the reason I like his character today. I still think it is one of his shining moments in the DCU. -M

Ah. In that case. I can tell you that Booster will have one of those moments. (Actually, he'll have more than one) in upcoming comics. I have to utilize the older, wiser Booster somehow. As for Vic's investigation. Just you wait. We're heading into the territory of when he becomes The Question.
Current Results (As of current Votes up to issue 7)
Batwoman: 14 Kaldur: 12 Blue Beetle: 9 Booster Gold: 9 Mas and Menos: 8 Cheshire: 4
Wow. You guys don't like Cheshire. I need to rectify that otherwise I'll have no excuse but to turn her into a villain because America hates her.

The issue was solid. I enjoyed the reference to the zeta warriors. Also the tiny things you mention are great Vic's smoking being one.

Read #8, good work. Really like Booster, love the fact he has a kind of 'Outsider' almost watcher type status due to the mere fact he knows that this universe is one of many. You're juggling alot of characters but doing well. I feel I need to reread what you've written, I'm having a hard time figuring out what's happening with your villains. I'll figure it out.

To be fair, I haven't really used that much in the way of real villains outside of Grant and Brutale. So far, the RFG and its members have been behind the scenes type of characters that have appeared or been referenced in nearly every issue. Though if you pay attention, the same people from issue zero's Kaldur scene are the ones who attacked the oil well. On the other hand, I think I've used every villain of mine except Film Freak already. The Linda and Vic scenes were meant to help build the standalones up to the Circus of Strange arc by keeping track of the Wild Card AKA Crownless King. So that was fun to do. A fun 8 issue build towards all hell breaking loose.

I'm all caught up. Gotta be honest, not feeling this series. I dunno if its because of so many characters you can't focus like you do with Spoilers or what, but I just can't get into it. Which isn't to say its bad. I like the premise and its well written. I just....don't care about anyone. Hell I flat out dislike Kord.
I don't mean to be down on you because I love your writing. But so far BatB just isn't for me.
