I'll probably be posting Promos or Secret Files/Origins over the next few days for BatB. Been taking notes on my ideas while killing time at rehearsal.
For those of you who don't know, my series is totally going to give a bad name to heroes in the minds of some of the truer heroes. It's Tiger & Bunny and NASCAR meets American Idol meets Dancing with the Stars and given the death element, a little bit of Survivor thrown in for fun.
I'm incredibly open to suggestions on your guys parts. Especially since I'm trying something different and after certain issues, I'll be requesting you to "vote" for your favorite hero (or just someone random) so as to affect the results of an "episode"
Right now, I'm looking for sponsors and owners for teams. (Sponsors if it was a real comic would help cut down adspace....)
So far I have
BlueGold Media (Subsidiary of Kord Electronics). Tempted to make it Goldstar Media but not sure yet. It is the "Owner/Main Sponsor" of Blue Beetle and Booster Gold.
Booster Gold: Has ad space for Bandai America and Geico Blue Beetle: Kord Electronics. Wonder Bread
Detective Cinema AKA DC Entertainment (Branch of Kane Industries) manages Batwoman. Don't have any idea for sponsors for her just yet.
Mas y Menos: No clue on the Owner but they totally have Ford at their backs.
Aqualad II (working name): Nothing yet. Probably ads for Gatorade. Likely a teen girl magazine too
Cheshire: I had an owner that I forgot about. Probably something cute and girly. Since that is her demographic (at this point in my outline.)

Updates: Aqualad has been changed to Kaldur the Waterbearer.
4 out of 8 Promos done. (I did get distracted). So far Batwoman's has been my favorite.
Finished: Kaldur, BB III, Batwoman, Booster
Up next is Crownless King.
Still no ideas on some of the characters sponsors which is why you're getting this instead of Secret Files.

Anybody on and willing to review my Issue 0? I need feedback on what best order to put the scenes in. Should it go chronologically or be erratic for effect. That sort of thing.

I'll give it a look over if you are still in need.

Thanks for Jack and Buck for helping provide me with a fun order of teaser events. I warn you ahead of time, they are not chronological scenes but they do tie together in some form.
So. Issue 0 is up. Issue 1 will probably start with action too with each following issue focusing on one the heroes and what was possibly their origin/reason for joining the Brave and the Bold's league. (As in Blue and Gold intermingles Ted and Booster pitching the series to execs and fighting crime in the present while whatever Batwoman's issue is called, has her talking with her uncle about putting on the Family Crest and fighting crime. And so on.
Hope you enjoy it. Kal and Kate's were my two favorites with an honorable mention to Wildcat for being Wildcat.
As you may have also noticed, the rough version for their Secret Files is up. If anyone has better suggestions for Jaime and the twins then I'm open to hearing them.
Oh. And Voting starts now so pick your favorite hero. Only Crownless King doesn't count. All others do for reasons I won't get into since they involve Spoilers.
Hope you enjoy.

Got to say, I loved how you formatted this issue. Almost felt like I was flipping channels on my tv trying to find something to watch, and yes that's a good thing. I'm looking forward to see what you have planned for issue #1.

I'm looking forward to see what you have planned for issue #1. Thanks. I had that in mind somewhat after Buck and Jack helped me. You can follow the Pyg story pretty easily, I tried to go random, Circus of Strange, random, Circus of Strange, random, etc... Make feel like one in the present on one is a rerun or news piece. Fun to see that a character has yet to have more than one vote. Amuses me so.

I'm with darth, I liked the format of the issue. I'm having a hard time choosing though, haha.

Like I mention by pm, great stuff. As for voting, it was down to Batwoman and Wildcat for me, but what can I say, I'm a sucker for a good old fashioned lesbian kiss...

Well, in the future, the polls will actually be in the issue. This was something Miller suggested to me instead of relying on posts of people voting. It also saves you guys the need to look at two topics.
When in doubt, pick your favorite character or character portrayal. Not every hero will likely be featured in every issue and my current plan is start it off with the POV of a different hero for every issue. So sometimes Batwoman won't get a single mention but Cheshire is there for 70% of the time.
I personally picked Kaldur since he's my favorite character of the batch, closely followed by Jaime and Wildcat even though Batwoman had the best teaser.
Anybody have a clue where Starfire is? Cause I sure as hell don't and I'm writing it.

I thought Booster was the best myself.
I enjoyed it. I think it might have been a bit too random, but it wasn't a big deal. I applaud you for being different. I hope you can keep up with it all. Keep 'em coming.

I'll admit. I don't know much about Booster but I like the take that he's trying to be a serious hero, that he's already proven himself in a different universe (or universes), yet he keeps getting suckered into the same path such as Ted "forcing" him to be a multimedia promoted hero.

You're telling me nobody likes Bruce Campbell Wildcat? Well, I guess it's a good thing he doesn't stick around for the whole season or get a proper vote.

I loved Wildcat in this but I have a special love for Ted Kord in any and all incarnations

Issue 1 of BatB is finally up. I had fun writing it. And yes, that is exactly who you think it is in the first scene. Don't forget to cast your vote for your favorite heroes or the heroes you think did best. I was nice enough to give a two vote limit.

I really enjoyed this title. Just awesome premise for a title and you are carrying the title very well.

Nice to see the next episode of this. Thought the interaction between Booster and Kord was excellent. Liked the whole Tony Stark vibe you gave Ted, contrasting with the slightly more cautious future-conscious Booster, wasn't expecting it but I enjoyed it.

Yeah. I really like my idea behind Brave and the Bold and in my mind, Ted and Booster are the stars so I went about thinking how could I make them different yet have a bit of core remain. Kefka's initial outline worked fine with me. So I used it with a change that "Mr. Kord" is not really Ted and only really Booster knows this. (as seen in both Beetle Promos form 0)
Then for Booster, I thought, "What if you have Booster Gold, veteran superhero of at least a decade? One who because of crisises and two Flashpoints has found his timetraveling abilities a bit screwy." He's a hero now. A Hero that people look up to in other timelines, yet here, he's somehow been talked into being a media whore again. One of the Fixed Points just like Ted's death. With him knowing something is deeply wrong with UDC, that it's not developing right, he walks a fine line between what to say and not to say.
Then Skeets has had intensive programming for gambling purposes.
So you have to deal with Booster knowing Ted's going to die, there's nothing he can do to stop it, but until then, he will always have Beetle's back.
Next issue should be pretty good. I have a fantastic Linda, Kaldur, and Wildcat scene. Followed by a heart to heart with Kate and her uncle (thank you Jack for giving me the inspiration to make Robert a glorious bastard and Kate lost with what she's supposed to be doing in life). Then I introduce an original villain for Mas y Minos to fight only for Renegade to interrupt the fun. I'm up to the Mas y Minos scene right now. Which will be followed by another Batwoman showing up at the eleventh hour to save the day.
On that note, how did you guys like the bit at the end of Booster trying to sell you car insurance? Each issue will have something like that at the end.
On another note if you've read the solicits for Issue 3 (my in continuity issue... I think), there's going to be a major prison break. Some caught by the BatB, some sent there because it's the best thing they have for super prisons at the moment. If you have someone you'd like to tie into the escape, please let me know either through here or PM.
Sadly, Cheshire (unless I get some different inspiration) will be neglected.
Don't forget to vote for your favorite heroes. It does have an effect in universe[/u][/color]

Posted Pt1 of Lights, Camera, Batwoman. I most likely won't have it finished before I lose net until I get paid but I promised Chris I'd update BatB twice this month.
The Poll will be added later since you don't get to see many heroes in action for those two scenes.

It's great man. Love Kate and Robert's scene together- definitely got the magnificent bastard aspect to come across. Wildcat is awesome as always. Really enjoying seeing the characters develop like this.
