A couple of sentences either were missing words or had extraneous words making them a little confusing. You also had some then/than errors, so nothing major but the confusing sentences took me out of the story flow a few times, which was annoying as the story was so good.
Yeah, the Zeta reference just made it all click at the end, so kudos to wachter for the suggestion but still a great issue by you all around aside from the nits I picked.

Yup. When I first read it, I thought it was a bit off to see J'onn do that since he was one of the level-headed guys in Zeta. But if you referenced it and reminded people that J'onn had just finished fighting in a war then it tied everything together with a nice pink ribbon.
It's the small things which give life to the paper.

Congratulations, buck. You are the first person in the history of this board to make me fanboy. I don't do that often and I thought my fanboy quota of the month was going to only be reached with Avengers. You tossed that out the window.
What I liked about this issue? Really the whole thing. It had some great vibes and as the resident X-Files fan, I can say that this definitely satisfies my need for more X-Files. And honestly, forget Ultimate, this is exactly how I would want a real Martian Manhunter comic, so good job there.
Obviously, there were some little errors here and there, but nothing is perfect and nothing that hurt the flow. Keep it up and I really can't wait for you to fully claim this as a title.

Just read #1 and #2 of MM; great work. I have to admit that we seem to have quite a few groups of Immortals, but hey, maybe some sort of 'Immortals war' will happen at some stage. Second issue definitely stepped up the game, I really enjoyed the mix of action and detective work, was surprised by how brutal J'onn got. Anyway I look forward to seeing what this leads onto.

Issue #3 is up. Hope you guys enjoy the conclusion to the mini-series. Strange Adventures #1 should be coming up soon with the first arc dealing with the brutal bastard known as the Butcher.

Read the final issue. Seemed more set up than wrap up, but that is appropriate for the last issue of a mini launching a regular series. Curious you chose to reveal Time's new face here rather than in S.H.A.D.E. but it was an enjoyable scene nonetheless.
With how you left things, one of the challenges is going to be to build back up your supporting cast around John Jones. His peers on the police force here were interesting and the dynamic with his partner worked well, but now he has alienated some and lost others, so you will be starting over again a bit (not quite from square one but close). The ME (Sam?) reminds me a bit of Butters from the Dresden Files (not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but it is what it is). The Council looks interesting, but Jack does have a point, we have a lot of supreme secret societies running around the Ultimate DCU (which is not actually all that surprising if you look at the history of occult secret societies in our world-most thought they were the top of the food chain but few lived up to the billing they gave themselves). Since we don't have a "universe bible" as reference and our current continuity guru is having connectivity problems it seems, perhaps this is fodder for another continuity thread over in the author's forum. It's not that big a deal, but it might be nice to have a reference for some of the folks lurking behind the scenes trying to pull strings.

You actually picked up on a lot of the things I was setting up for the ongoing.
The isolation is something that will be picked apart in the first half of volume one. I have to confess I know nothing about The Dresden Files so can't really comment on the similarities there.
Definitely have a point on the immortals needing to be lined up. I'll have to get a little blurb on the council together for just such a topic.
As for Time I was planning on waiting for Jack to post his new issue SHADE but he went ahead and gave me the go ahead to post the issue. After a little thought though it's something really cool that adds to the interlaced universe we're building. So a big thanks to Jack for allowing this opportunity to reveal Time's new identity.
So can't wait for the launch of Strange Adventures next month.

MRP, When is Winter's Agents #1 coming out?
Cause, someone has two thumbs and wants to see Vicki Vale become part of Night Force real bad. It's me. I'm salivating waiting for it. So hurry up already! :-)
Just kidding. But I really am looking forward to it.

The plan is late June/early July. I have to finish up my other commitments this month first (Outsiders #3 and Books of Magic #6), but I have been working on some plot notes for it. And teechincally, it's not Night Force due to the structure of claims on the site (I don't have the name claimed and you can't make a claim for a mini), hence the title Winter's Agents.

Just finished Buck's Martian Manhunter trilogy.
I sat down intending to just get chapter one finished, then do some laundry and come back for the rest. That didn't happen. My clothes are still in the machines, wet and unfolded. And I sat here and read the whole thing.
Aside from a few typos, which I'm generally guilty of myself, I LOVED this mini. I haven't read any of Zeta Warriors yet, but it's definitely moved up on my to-do list. you handled MM like a pro, and took him in some unexpected and very enjoyable directions. Kudos on a job well done!

Winters' Agents#1 is up.Warning, there is a minor and subtle, spoiler for Tec #6 in there, so read Tec 6 first if you don't want to be spoiled. This takes place after Tec 6 and BoM #9...

I like the Winter's character, and the Monk segment seemed genuinely creepy. Good stuff as always!
