Yeah, we will have to but I'm not going to distract myself with anything/anyone else until after I finish Curious Case. Only took a break to review Wonder Woman because Disciple and Adrini helped re-energize me into writing and he asked me to. So that'll have to wait a few days.
Good to know on the 2012 deal.

Because I have a sinking feeling I'm going to lose net today and I likely won't be able to turn it back on until next week (I really need to start paying on time but so many bills...), Ultimate Haven 6 is up. I'm slowly and surely bringing this Curiously Long Case to a close. Only one issue left unless my writing gets away from me.
It's no excuse but ignore the simpler mistakes for now (if there are big ones, feel free to point them out) but like I said... sinking feeling = paranoid. When I have time to come back, I might give it a better edit.
Introduces: -Two cute kids -One of Haven's biggest villains -And yet another Outlaw (I think that's the last one unless you count Wingman and Kathy in Outlaws: Dragon) -REFERENCES TO ANOTHER TITLE! (can you guess vich vone?)
I really wanted to end this issue with a "Suit up" moment featuring Kate and Jason so that they could get the heavy duty stuff for the threat (and it's only gonna get bigger in the final chapter) but the story did not go in that direction.
---
Updated We Know Stuff: -Steph and Helena to Agents/Associates -Man-Bat to Outlaws.
I'll be updating villains shortly.

Another solid issue. I'm glad we got to see Aaron some. Your plot's really heating up, and the last Redbird/Batwoman team up moment got me incredibly excited!
8.5/10. Still missing the "why" for Batwoman's dramatic, angry search for Aaron.
Quick question: have you mentioned Mark's last name yet? If so, I missed it. If not, I look forward to the reveal.

Another solid issue. I'm glad we got to see Aaron some. Your plot's really heating up, and the last Redbird/Batwoman team up moment got me incredibly excited! Would have been greater if I could have ended it in the Bat-bunker and then they suit up in the heavy stuff to fight "monsters" but I suppose dashing across the back of the train with their capes billowing behind them is almost as good. ^_^ Honestly, I don't think she needs to have a reason to be dramatic or angry. It's a missing kid with a physical disability in cities like Gotham and Bludhaven. Any decent person should feel the same in trying to save him. But if you want some of the facts... A lot of the motivation is covered in Outlaws: Bat-Girl which has an extra scene taken out of Issue 5 where Kate is all brooding. The end of Part 1 also firmly establishes that he's Kate's baby cousin so it's also personal. I don't spell it out but I have throwaway lines throughout the issues mentioning cousin or uncle or family. It's not something I felt had to be kept hammering out, especially since Kate's scenes have been mood scenes and adding exposition that's already been covered takes away from it. It could also be partly my fault that this is not remembered since I'm using humourous recaps and it's been a long time since those establishing issues and I don't mention the relation. Just the missing kid. (If you don't want to go back to read those issues, it has a lot to do with the fact Kate took the night off to be "normal" with Renee and she didn't find out until AFTER Renee got the alert first.) Langstrom Family Tree (Man-Bat's name has been broken up into two characters)Robert "Bobby" Langstrom: Wingman, Kate's mentor and Uncle (Gave him Man-Bat's canon first name) Kirk Langstrom: Man-Bat, Kate's Uncle Kathy Langstrom-Kane: Original Batwoman, Kate's mum. Aaron Langstrom: Kirk's son, Kate's tween cousin. Dunno. It's there in the text for you to figure out who he is but I'm not sure if I ever mentioned his last name.

Fair enough. I got that, having reread your run briefly before you came back, it just seemed kind of glossed over. Anyway, great job! I look forward to the conclusion of this arc.

The curious case is closed! (Or is it?)
I did it without net which is probably why it took longer than the other two and feels different. Haha. I had no urge to have my computer on without the ability to surf.
Yes, that prisoner is who you think it is.
And I find it fitting that my 2000th post will be bringing this arc that lasted forever to a close.
Edit: And since the three people I asked to post it never did... I updated the Cowardly Lot with the Desmond family.

Solid issue.
I'm really excited to see what comes next. My only real gripe is that there was an alarming number of grammar and spelling errors this issue. Normally they're few and far between, but I found myself finding one every line or every couple lines throughout the issue.
Still, it gets an 8/10. Maybe I'm biased.

There are probably a number of issues. I managed to write it after days of not touching word and getting stressed out over how it was gonna be posted. Hell, I'm still not sure if it was managed to be copied correctly from my computer to my phone to the topic. The posting frustrated me so much I haven't been inn the topic since...
I probably should check it out...

Nearly a year ago, I started Ultimate 'Haven and from here on out, there will be marvelous time jumps as the Last Year Saga draws to a close. Only one more arc left of Jay and Steph's freshmen year and then onwards to a summer with an authority figure you'd be crazy to leave your child with.
Not that it's needed based on the reviews I'm getting (I LOVE YOU DRAKE!) promptly but I decided to split the Annual into two parts for the sake of the readers who do keep up. The Annual has 4 different stories (plus secret files). I've posted the first two and they push the 3000 word count. You don't want to know just how many words I have left but I guess it's good to say half. The halfway point was a good stopping place because the next two stories take you forward in the Ultimate 'Haven Mythos and back in time. Whereas Parts One and Two are simple slice-of-life stories dealing with the fallout of Curious Case's SURPRISE ENDING.
Annual #1-2 will be posted in a few days and it might even have a surprise with it if some other ideas come together. So... Cross your fingers and enjoy.

I posted a review, but for whatever reason it didn't load. Anyway, here's my review of Annual 1-1...er 2.0.
I enjoyed this half of the annual a lot. While it was light on action, it more than made up for it with excellent character interactions and development. The little secret files entries were fun as well. One last thing...your Jason kicks ass. You've really gotten down his voice. He sounds and thinks like a teenager. Great job on that end.
Onto the negatives. The few negatives.
There wasn't much actual plot development. I get it's an annual and all, but still, I felt as though there should have been a little more connection to your main story. Also, the story felt a little short for how much we got. I'm happy there's another half coming so it limits that complaint.
8/10

Thanks for the Jason comment. I originally had a tag scene at the end where he has a "man-to-man" moment with Richard and the solution to "I think I like her back" is for a jog in the freezing cold. Didn't have the same impact for an ending. ;_:
I got the short comment in my last annual. These two bring me up to I think 2800 words approximately which is around 200-700 words below my usual word count. With Part Three, it brings it up to over 4000 words. And I've also got complaints about my stuff being too long so yep... Solution was to make two parts. I'm not gonna force anyone to sit through 6000 words worth of story again.

This was a pretty good opening for #1. I really enjoyed it. The 1st person narrative works in this . I did like the interaction of Red Hood , Hush and Talon. That was pretty sweet and that finale made me interested in #2. So I'll check it out soon.

Finishing off Wachter's volume 1 of 'Haven is my Annual #1-2! It features Jason's origin, and a preview of the future in line with "My Red Valentine" for volume 2!

As an fyi to anyone and everyone, volume 2 #1 should act as a good jumping on point if you haven't read 'Haven before, or if you've forgotten much of what happened. Of course, reading Annual 1-2 from volume 1 is probably a necessity to fully comprehend Jason's character, past, and motivations. Plus it previews the future (namely Fall 2015) in a rather brief but shocking way.

No one gonna review my issues? And I feel as if I should include this in the board... ... Ultimate 'Haven Arc 1: New Knight RisingFour stories intertwineAs the Forgotten Clue does remindOf days past, the legends told,And Outlaws of 'Haven olde. A clipped bluebird fallsAs a black bat lurks 'round all.And boy becomes beastAfter The Change is unleashed. Enter the Dragon, bearing The MoonUnsure if he carries a bane or a boon.So Hush now as the curtain does fallAnd seeds are sown, uniting the Twins, et al. Points to anyone who can guess what any of it means. I don't think it'll be too hard, except for maybe that last line.

I was involved in the planning but I'll elaborate here so you can get a review. The story is very sympathetic, which is good. We need to care about the character. Covers a long period of time, but does so respectfully. It does leave alot of questions, which as it's your first cover for this area works out fine.

I love the whole concept of the Ultimate Haven books. Former teams training the current protectors of Haven. I really really like the way that Jason Todd and Tim Drake have been brought in without any involvement from Batman. It gives them a little more stand alone quality instead of using the Batman character crutch (not that that's a bad thing). Your writing isn't as good as wachters in my opinion but that's not to say that it isn't good. It's just different and that's what I enjoy about it. As I have said about the Birds of Prey and Green Arrow series, Haven confuses the holy crap out of me when it comes to timelines. I am caught up with BOP and on issue 8 of GA volume 1 and I'm barely grasping what year is what and who is who's codename. I figure it will come easier to me as I continue reading. Overall I am very much enjoying your start to Haven. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the kind words! And I could never hope to be as good as Wachter. To be even mentioned in the same sentence as him when it comes to quality is incredibly rewarding!
